You see, this is often the fundamental issue with the right-wing half-read rabid religious/ultra-nationalist fanatics like you - it boils down to trumpeting victory by pointing at apparently 'many loopholes' in genuine historians' arguments that obviously do not toe in line with the imagined pseudohistorical devotional history the saffron chimpanzees subscribe to, and yeah ! add a bunch of laughing emojis onto a lecture in order to demean academic skepticism. One does not need to know Arabic or Sanskrit to judge and study a historical period. By not 'knowing sanskrit' does not mean she had never had access to sanskrit texts because today is the age of digital lexicons, multiple online sources at one's fingertips and access to thousands of books, in this way, one does not need to know Sanskrit in order to examine those texts because a PhD scholar has other ways to go in depth into these arcane texts and sometimes far better than a traditionalist. I know whence come this argument 'she does not know sanskrit language therefore she is not credible', apart from a deep psychological trauma which is held in a Hindutva fanatic's head, these imbecile tropes are spread by likes of Ravi Dixit, and Sanjay Dixit of Jaipur Dialogue (I often listen to them when I cannot find my comic book). Secondly, the Ram-Janam Bhoomi has not even an iota of historical basis other than an emotional commitment to a mythology which is now no more an innocent mythology but a political tool to subvert facts with fiction. I know it butt-hurts come of you, and this is creepy true. You can simply brush her under carpet by saying 'I cannot trust these leftist marxist historians' - a group than often invokes colonial remnants in the modern India, or the last resistance towers against the Mission Saffronization of History. The bad news is - the truth shall prevail.

I can give you not one, not ten, but hundreds of loopholes in her writings. She IS a leftist marxist historian but that doesn't make me dislike her. I genuinely admire Bipan Chandra, Ranajit Guha and also the "non-Marxist" Ramchandra Guha but unfortunately, I cannot admire a person who says that King Yudhistr got inspired from Ashoka. From your name, it's evident that you are a Muslim and obviously, your grievances over the Ram Janmabhoomi case has not been redressed. I would like to extend my sympathy towards yourself but it's high time you get over it. Everything about Ram Janmabhoomi is *true* and is proven by the archeological findings. For Indology to be meaningful internationally, it has to be evidential and critical. I find Thapar to be very rigorous and stimulating. I want to learn more from her. I am Taiwanese and interested in India.

However we can't say we've been particularly kind to each other either prior to the western and near eastern invaders. The past should be known, but those people who are Indian and have converted are no less Indian. In this modern age without unity, we won't progress.

Thapar was not asked to assess the authenticity of the Ramayan or the existence of God or whether Hindu's should have faith - NO ! She was asked if there was a Temple under the Babri Masjid that was demolished ? Did the hindu community consider this site sacred and worship there ? Simple Historical questions ! What was the evidence ! No one whats her opinions on Hinduism as a faith or religion ! Not her bloody business what people believe in !!!
