    Well done! Excellent information and nicely presented. I’m currently using a different multi-channel temp setup but the capability to control the temp for a long cook-like a pork butt-is extremely appealing. It appears the fan is the answer. Plus I BBQ/Smoke all winter ( in Toronto ) so temperature control can be a challenge, with repeated trips to the vents on the Weber throughout the duration of the cook. Much appreciated!

    Thanks Lee yea it was whisper quiet and stayed right on temp with very little swing. I did bump the top vent from time to time to compensate for when I put more coals on but could have eliminated that by just filling it up more at the beginning. Thanks for watching brother and have a great weekend!

    Sorry I'm totally ignorant about these kinds of tools, looking to buy this for my dad. He has a chinese box, a grill, and a smoker. Will he need to drill holes or something on them to be able to use these? Thank you! Sorry I have no idea how any of this works.

    Hey Sandra thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. These are great questions. Some grills do require modifications for this fan to work but I’m not sure which. I suggest you reach out to ThermoWorks and confirm what will be needed for his needs. It is an awesome tool though that I’m glad I got. Hope this helps.

  • @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837

    @gtsbarbecueandcuisine4837

    Honestly I didn’t. I came across the Billows fan and had wanted a Guru for some time but couldn’t justify the price. I needed a multi channel thermometer anyway so this fit the Bill very well. I have always heard great things about the Fireboard though. Just stumbled onto this one. It did work flawlessly though. We’ll see how it does after a bunch of cooks. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

    That was a great question. I just tried it with usb and no dice. Has to be plugged into the wall but that really isn’t a big deal. I always use my charcoal cookers close to the house. I guess an inverter would work in your car though. Thanks again for taking the time to watch!

    - In this conversation way late. - No doubt the Venom is a great product for Webers. - i believe GT said he bought Signals because he wanted a multi channel thermo to use with his stik burner. Not sure if he has a fan port on that cooker or not. If so, I doubt the Venom could be attached to that cooker. I could be wrong though. - The Signals with the 46CFM Billows fan more than likely can push enough air to keep that cooker stoked. - The Venom looks like a great solution for Weber's. Please do not take this the wrong way but I view it much like my Smobot. That being pretty much a one trick pony. The Venom can be used on multiple Weber cookers like the Smobot can be used on multiple manufactures Kamado's. But only on Kamado's. - I have multiple PID controllers too include the Signals and do not view it as a waste of money. Nor is it any better than my old DigiQ dx2, Flameboss, Fireboards, Smoke X4 that I use exclusively on my Kettle and Performer or the Smobot. - Have to admit if I had known of the Venom when I bought the X4 I would have given it (Venom) consideration. - @kingmiller1982 have you had any issues with the permanent mounting? Do you store your cooker inside or outside? Guess I am sniffing around to find out if the unit has any water incursion or moisture issues? - I am getting a wee bit interested.
