The problem with tag team wrestling these days is that either you will get unpushed teams with bad gimmicks used as filler, or two main eventer will team up for some reason, win the titles because, and proceed to fight like single wrestler, occasionally tagging. Everytime there's a huge successful team, they get broken up.

Justin, I never knew that you had so much knowledge of the sport and how the sport worked., because quite honestly I thought you were some bitter wrestler feeding bullshit, but after I started watching your videos, I have a new found respect for you, and your thoughts on the current state and the future of the business. You're not awesome... you're...JUSTIN CREDIBLE!!!! Keep up the good work!

Absolutely 100% truth! They're depleting the tag team scene. It all started going downhill for WWE once yet took out the other tag team belts and used the tag team Division for more story lines instead of upholding the actually potential of a tag team ! Keep up the good videos Justin, I'm a fan! You very humble!

Right now I think ring of honor has the best tag team wrestling, in my opinion.

One of the best matches I've seen live was a tag match. It was Justin Credible and Lance Storm vs Nova and Chris Chetti at the Uptown Theater in Kansas City circa 2000.

Thanks Justin, I've felt that way for a while now that tag team wrestling is an art in itself and needs to make a comeback.

So true ... When WCW put Brian Pillman & Steve Austin together wow the Hollywood Blondes really were entertaining to watch. My countrymen Tom "Dynamite Kid" Billington and Davy boy Smith The British Bulldogs I'm sure they held the WWF title for nearly a year. There were good tag-teams that never won the title too like the Fabulous Rougeaus, the Beverly Brothers, the Killer Bees, the Bush Wackers, the Rockers and Rhythm and Blues just to name a few.

I've been a wrestling fan nearly all of my 32 years, and I hvae to say that I've always enjoyed Tag Team wrestling more than singles. I feel the pace is always fun, with hot tags and the like while the opportunity to tell a story is inherent. It's easy to get across the psychology in a tag match.

The best tag teams have finishing maneuvers (or just maneuvers in general) that involve both partners and/or good chemistry behind the mic

Your videos are picking up steam. I've been here since the start and seeing the views at 642 is crazy compared to the start. It's a testament to the great info you give out on wrestling, not only to people who want to join the business but people that just want to understand pro wrestling better.

I don't know if maybe I'm just a little old school but I think a proper career path should begin with tag team, continue onto mid-card title and then top tier. I'm not trying to belittle it as a stepping stone but I do think a rise should be gradual if a guy is going to main event one day. These days guys arrive and then a month later they are challenging for the world title, the fans don't care for them or no them, the fans never doubted their talented only to be amazed by them.

The problem with tag teams nowadays esp in WWE is they are just throw together and dont even have chemistry. Just look at Swagger and Cesero for example. Why put those two together when you have Ohno in NXT and was the former parter of Cesero. Cesero and Ohno are great together as the kings of wrestling. The WWE needs to start off tag teams in NXT and let them train together before being called up.

Interesting that 3 years after you called it 'E are actually doing just that- building tag teams from NXT and the division finally has some hope with American Alpha, DIY etc and especially Revival (best thing in a long long time). Only thing now required is for creative in main roster to book them properly

The art of the tag team has been lost. The root word is TEAM, not two singles wrestlers per corner. The TAG is the gimmick of the match. These concepts have gotten lost and until they get rediscovered, we will never have exciting tag matches like the Rock n' Roll Express, Demolition, Hart Foundation, Brain Busters, Midnight Express, Steiners, Dudley Boyz, or Doom. No matter how talented singles wrestlers are, they never seem to have the believable chemistry as true tag teams.
