they are students and faculty and the media is mostly lying to make it seem like they aren't because our media is pro Israel because of lobbying and funding blah blah you know the story. those who aren't currently enrolled or aren't professors are typically affiliated with the school from school programs or as alumni. its the same thing as George Soros funding liberal projects, but conservatives have rich oligarchs funding these weird pro Israel propaganda projects. thats what is going on. the students recognize a genocide is happening and they want it to stop. thats literally all they're interested in, which is and should be admirable to any body who still has a soul. they aren't engaging with all of the political and religious speech and are focused on simply ensuring that an entire race of people are not murdered in broad daylight.

Let me help you understand when you arrest and keep lots of people they become symbols of the struggle and act like lightning rods that invigorate mobs and focus the mob if you just pick them up and release them it lowers the pressure and temperature of the protests but if you clamp down hard things can errupt into chaos without warning sure it seems like the common sense thing to to but common sense breaks down into meaningless noise when you start working with large numbers/groups of people if just one of them does something dangerous it could set off a chain reaction that's why it's best to handle the situation with patience , restraint, and with a light touch if your worried about them not getting in trouble they will it will just be after things cool down just like with the jan 6 people they were all slowly picked up some months later

The term suggests that these individuals are being manipulated or exploited by others who have a more strategic or malicious agenda. Most of the protesters were lured by anti-Israel Islamist organizations. Free food is often offered at the main campuses, and the protesters enjoy the circus atmosphere.

Well, this is sadly a very complicated issue. Israel was attacked and has a right to protect itself and remove the danger to their country. Palestine civilians, who have done nothing wrong, have a right to not be harmed because of what someone else did. Hamas is an evil terrorist organization that demands genocide and Hamas has no rights at all. It is hard for Israel to protect themselves from Hamas without causing colleteral damagee, because Hamas hides behind Palestine civilians. I am baffled how anyone can have a clear cut oppinion like "Israel/Palestine" us "good/evil" in this situation. That is only possible if you are completly racist one way or the other.

Protest on these campuses are stupid. If you want to protest something than go protest where the decisions are being made. Congress, Israel's embassy, or Gaza. Universities CAN'T do anything about the problem so standing around yelling, being destructive and disruptive DOESN'T change anything. It is s lazy way to protest.

These protesters are in way over their heads anyway. They just haven't lived long enough yet to know what they're talking about, and their behavior just shows they still have some growing up to do.

Texas should amend their free speech law to allow free speech unless someone is criticizing Israel. They forgot to add that in when they wrote the new law.

I watched UCLA & it was the opposing Pro-Palestine group that were shouting at the pro-Palestinian group, threw fireworks at the pro-Palestinians group, then went over to the pro-Palestinian students, tore off the metal barricades & grabbed the wood dividers & threw them around the grounds ... & began attacking the pro-Palestinian group. The Pro-Palestinians did nothing, even though they were being goaded by the other group. I'm a 70+yo Australian woman & have 'no skin in the game' when it comes to this other than watching news. However, I am against genocide.

Didnt Burns support the banana court for Paxton? The voucher plan would have paid for the vouchers using the existing property tax allowing us to lower taxes. Texas needs to continue attracting major businesses and low property taxes and lower taxes in general are good for growth. Growth js the main solution to inflation. Inflation will not ever go back down get used to the prices. Drill baby drill and mine baby mine and things will get cheaper.
