Nice! I like how compact the drill and impact are. Aside from the hoodie, my first real Milwaukee tool was the M12 fuel hatchet. That little thing works great for chopping up branches that I got down with the pole saw. I was really impressed with what can be done with a 12 volt tiny chainsaw. So, I started blowing money on more m12 and m18 stuff when the deals were popping up over Christmas time.

Yeah I’d like to grab that little m12 hatchet as well! Because I always keep a saw in the truck coming from a tree service but I usually keep one of my top handle climbing Stihl’s.

Thanks for putting out this video. I found it very helpful, and it's good to see what an experienced tradesman chooses as a cordless power tool brand. I am an apprentice and getting to that point of my apprenticeship now where I need to start getting some cordless power tools. My boss said he'll help me with the cost (I got a good boss), he also told me to do my research carefully and decide on one brand, as it's best to just have one brand for battery compatibility. After a lot of searching, I decided I was probably best with Milwaukee, your video just confirmed I'd made the right decision. Regards to yourself, David

I'm not familiar with the 7¼ non fuel but I will say that the 6½ fuel circ saw with a high output battery is one of my favorite tools because of the size of it. Even with one of the bigger high output batteries it's very compact and lightweight. Also because it has a higher RPM it actually cuts faster than most if not all 6½ and some 7 and 1/4 saws. Welcome back to the family. I am almost to 40 cordless Milwaukee tools. I got rid of my 10-in cordless fuel miter saw and went with a 12-in corded refurb for half the money but I still plan on getting me another cordless chop saw. I have the table saw that thing is an amazing a piece of equipment. Every single thing about that saw is buttery smooth. Also you're probably wondering how many guys I have working for me. Absolutely none all of those are for me LOL.

Some people like Milwaukee, some like Dewalt and others like Makita. Different trades like different tools. I'm a pro cabinet maker and trim carpenter, and to me, Dewalt is far better than Milwaukee, and other guys in my trade believe the same, but a few guys I work with say Makita is the best. The point is that every tool company has its fan boys, but no one tool company is the end all best out there. I've known some people who ditched their Milwaukee to go Dewalt or Makita

Batteries aren't better, they are both comparable, Milwaukee has SLIGHTLY better cells in the pack itself but the flexvolts have a better power output and price to longevity ratio. I like Milwaukee impacts but the drill is better in dewalt. They really are fighting indirectly. Makitas are fucking beautiful but not as powerful as either unfortunately

The next 3 went flat within 60 days of going off warranty. Does not matter the size I have multiple 6ah and 9ah both die the same. The 12 ah came out after I was done with DeWalt so no experience there. For me it boils down to disappointment on DeWalt's behalf. I emailed them back and forth explaining that I had receipts for almost $10,000 worth of their tools so I'm clearly a loyal customer, I now have well over $1000 of flatlined Flexvolt batteries and I was curious to see what they would do about it. You will pay more the the Milwaukee, but if you make your living with them, then it is silly not to pay because otherwise you are simply being penny-wise and pound-foolish. Milwaukee tends to be the best in nearly every category when you check the independent performance comparisons. You mentioned the oscillating tool. I am a DIYer, but performance increases exponentially with blade angle travel. I have the cheapest Harbor Freight Chicago Electric corded one that has 2.5 degree sweep. It served me fine until I had to trim off the bottom of an in-place kitchen cabinet. It was demoralizingly slow to where I put it off. I went out and found a video that compared them all. That's where I learned that changes in blade sweep have exponential performance increases. Harbor Freight had one that was 3.5 amps and had 3.3 degrees of sweep, which is more than the very expensive and inventor, Fein, with its 3.2 degrees. It was $99, but hard to find in stock, but desperate, I drove 80 miles, which might be the best 80 miles I ever drove. (I could have gotten the Dremel for the same price locally, but they require you use their blades or an adapter, and their blades are not the best cutting. Moreover, the blade change on the Hercules blows it away.) It felt heavy, and when I unboxed it, it was. I wondered how it would be to hold over my head like that. As it turned out I didn't need to worry. I trimmed the base up in a few minutes whereas I already had 1/2 hour with the old tool and got very little done. 2.5 to 3.3 degrees made a massive difference. My issue turned into not going too fast and far. That was a change of 0.8 degrees. The Milwaukee Fuel version has a blade sweep of 4.3 degrees, a full degree more. You might think it would dominate the field in the tests between the different brands. It does. If they don't publish the blade sweep on an oscillating tool, it's because they are ashamed of it.

Fuck a sentimental feeling I use DeWalt because it is an American company that supports American workers as much as is allowed, most American power tool companies sold out to the chinese (thanks Carter)

Both milwaukee and dewalt are american companies, with manufacturing plants in the US. Both companies make more than 90% of their tools overseas in china.

@@LilApe I think the dewalt headquarters are here in the USA. All the profits go up to the top here instead of to china even though a lot of it’s made there the profits go to the US

The U.S. is a capitalist economy which means the corporations are always looking to save money by cheaper labor. This has always been true. The president has virtually no control on this. If you don't like it , then you just don't like capitalism plain and simple. During the 1800's, mining companies brought in workers from Ireland to try and break a walkout of American mining workers. What president do you blame for that one?
