Yes, I’m sure there are plenty of other obscure little indie studios out there making great films but most people don’t care. The issue most people have with movies is what’s being pushed by the mainstream! Which is generally uninspired, overproduced, garbage remakes. People shouldn’t have to scour every corner of the internet just to find a decent original movie, most people don’t have time for that and usually just watch whatever is popular. So mainstream studios need to step it up!

Looks fascinating. Sofia Coppola is fantastic. I'd be scared of creating a false image of the period. I'm in my 50s and I see movies now about the 1980s and they get it completely wrong. My dad used to tell me that modern (1980s/90s) movies about the 1960s got it completely wrong. Jumping back to such an important era when you never lived it must be daunting. So having Priscilla actually there to tell her story is going to make all the difference.

I love Sofia Coppola's vibes to her movies. They make it more relatable to teenage girls with that messy, reckless, young girl appeal.

I was a little iffy about this one, but this made me excited! I love to see the way Priscilla trusts the director so much

I'm so excited for this movie. I rewatch Marie Antoinette every year. Sophia is such an amazing and unique director. She's really good at telling stories about strong, yet feminine, complex women.

Saw this at the London film fest - very sad film. Wasn't aware of the nature of Elvis and Priscilla's relationship.

After seeing what A24 did for Amy Winehouse I’m extremely excited for this. Amy is still one of the best music documentaries I’ve ever seen I remember how everyone was weeping and frozen 5 minutes after the film.

And there Priscilla will lie about Elvis just like she lied in the books, and many fools will fall. But Elvis, will always be Elvis, and Priscilla, will always be just Priscilla PRESLEY.

Is it a reach to think that lana del ray would be on the soundtrack for this movie? i mean come on that’s such a golden opportunity ( it’s right there ) the singer has been notorious for creating gems for movie soundtracks, the movie looks golden as is but I know for a fact LDR has the potential to make something phenomenal & cinematic to go against this world of nostalgic, dark, 60s Americana allure brought to life by Coppola.

The reason why i admire Sofia Coppola's work so much is that she truly respected the narrative that Priscilla presented through her own memoir or the book she wrote (Elvis and I). She truly sticked to it and i adore that. For anyone who liked the movie and is craving more details, read the book!

Listen people. I have been a die hard Elvis fan since I was 2. I have not seen this movie so correct me if I’m wrong but from different sources I’ve heard and seen this film depicts Elvis as the villain. They show Priscilla looking like she was a damsel in distress with Elvis. Sure Elvis wasn’t perfect and I’m sure they had bumps in their marriage but they loved each other and were happy together. Heck if weren’t happy together they wouldn’t have had a daughter. If it was such a great movie don’t you think EPE would have allowed them Elvis’ music and endorsed the film. I know many people will be offended by this and to them I say this is just my opinion. If you want to watch a better portrayal of Elvis and an accurate representation of Elvis and Priscilla’s relationship I suggest you watch the Baz Luhrmann biopic of Elvis. It is a beautiful film with great actors. Elvis is very special to me and I hope you at least understand what I’m trying to say. I hope y’all have a good day and as always TCB⚡️

Saying "Priscilla" depicts Elvis as a villain is an improper way to look at things. Coppola's movies don't deal in absolutes, there are no black and white characters, only flawed human beings who are capable of doing good and bad (such as "Marie Antoinette", "The Beguiled" and "The Virgin Suicides"). That said, it was a far more interesting and human portrayal of Elvis than anything in that Baz Luhrmann joke that spent more time developing Col. Parker while making Elvis a Wikipedia article with a pulse.

If Priscilla truly loves Elvis as much as she always claims and she’s dedicated to protecting his legacy, why do a movie about their relationship that portrays Elvis as narcissistic, controlling, egotistical and manipulative, not to mention the inevitable elephant in the room - pedophile. That doesn’t sound like protecting someone you love to me. Priscilla knows their age gap comes under much greater scrutiny now than it did in the 60s.
