I don’t understand how people watching this movie don’t get the fact this movie isn’t about Elvis and his life with Priscilla ! The movie is about Priscilla’s life with Elvis, which is coming from a different point of view ! She is showing that there were some fun and exciting times, but most of it was down right boring and less glamorous than most people know, and the strain it can cause on one’s personal identity and the emotional impact that has on the relationship.

I believe it’s a metaphor. Most southern and/or Christian women believed the higher the hair the closer you are to god. Which to me growing up meant the crazier the woman was. So the metaphor cause be as the hair gets bigger the crazier or more her life was spiraling

You should have seen my family. I started going into labour at early morning 4am. As I woke up my parents and husband, only my husband was acting swiftly. My parents, aunts at home were all moving at a glacial pace. One by one went to take bath, got ready and started from our house only at 7am. When we reached the hospital i was four hours into labour.

Labour isn't something that suddenly drops on you. Usually there are pre contractions that go on for days, even weeks. The hardest part is to facile wether this is really "it" and you should drive to the hospital. Sometimes they send you back home. Not as dramatic as in the movies.

@@StarOnTheWaterThat's funny cuz none of that happened to me, in either of my labors. I didn't have braxtonhicks or any pain. For my 2nd he took 8 hours and it happened like it was supposed to. Mucus plug came out at about 4 am. I had about 3 contractions that woke me in my sleep. Woke up at 7 am. Sat on the bed folding clothes with my pelvic pointing down(like in a yoga ball) and was having contractions consistently by 8 am. Called my husband (who was at work), parents and in laws, & Was on my way to the hospital by 1030. Got there by 11 and when they checked me I was 5 cm. I continued with contractions naturally (no epidural or petocin) and my water broke at about 8 cm. After that I had my son. It was textbook. My 1st labor was nothing like it. But I didn't have pains leading up to it either. They both just happened.

I notice how much the height difference (obviously) they put with the actors and how Priscilla's actrees often being put in oversized dresses when they tried to appear her as mature/adult. I think it's Sofia's metaphorically emphasized how Priscilla was basically "a little girl" in the Elvis's adult and super star world. I can't help but indeed keep thinking that she was just a child compared to Elvis and everyone around him. It's the same as how she put converse in her Marie Antoinette's movie.

Austin butler would have been a shit choice because his portrayal of elvis is idyllic, positive, and mythic. Jacob elordi, on the other hand, has the added benefit of having portrayed nate Jacobs, a vicious abuser His portrayal of elvis isn't meant to make elvis look like a star. From Priscilla presepective, elvis was manipulative, fickle, cruel, and... honestly quite boring. He was an abusive man who took what he wanted, including a girl who was in the 9th grade when he was in his 20s.

I agree With something someone else said on here, Austin Butler's version of Elvis would probably not have worked for this movie, is this movie is meant to show him in a darker light than Elvis did, I will admit that it's weird that Elvis chose to be around a 14-year-old like he did, but as far as we know he didn't actually do anything with her until she was of age, and while it's creepy for our times he actually did more than he would have had to at that point age of consent was much lower at this point in time, I believe so he could have actually married her or slept with her at a much younger age but again as far as we know he chose not to

I liked it. It was from her POV and TBH she was actually legally married to him. She knew the real Elvis aron Presley. That's like telling someone they don't know their husband behind closed doors. We only know the mega star Elvis... You cant shame her for how she felt Elvis treated her. He may have loved her in his own way and was a undeniable talent globally but it's her story. I'm BLK and don't know nothin about Elvis except he was a mega star that rolled with bb king, little Richard when he 1st started out in the chitlin circuit...so I gave this movie a unbiased fair judgement. It was a 4/5 to ME 🤷🏾‍♀️. It just missed him having a relationship with lisa-marie. She was 9 when he died. It should have been more of them and their bond included in the film.
