perfectly displays an abusive manipulator. he wrongs her, she finds out, he rejects her, throws her away, then consoles her, even though he was the one who caused the pain. the villain and the hero.

She even explained in "Elvis and me" how she also found necessary to lie when she was buying polaroid films ("You're not going to believe this, but someone stole my film"); if it was really Elvis who wanted to take so many pictures, how couldn't anyone else than his (supposed to be embarassed) girlfriend who would have bought these films ? Who's the real villain in that couple ? Who really took advantage of the other one ?

S'funny ...that's exactly what Lisa Marie said, just days before her untimely death. Of course Priscilla loves it ...she wrote the damned thing! Let's not forget that every young girl in the world wanted Elvis. Landing The King was the catch of the century ...and Prisilla knew it! And, for those who missed it, her only disappointment was that the filmmakers didn't get her permi$$ion to use Elvis' recordings. That should tell you how innocent and protective of the man's legacy she is.💰💰💰💰😏

I have beautiful Ann Margret’s autobiography, picked it up in a second hand book store on my trip to the US this year. She devotes a couple of pages about her over 12 month love affair with Elvis but is discreet. Elvis bought her a large round, pink bed while they were together and would send her flowers every time she played in Vegas until his death. After he married Priscilla, he visited Ann Margret and told her he still loved her. She wrote about that and Elvis’ entourage have too. AM married her husband a week after Elvis did. She had her career, which she rightly wouldn’t give up for him and she went on to win a golden globe and was nominated for an Oscar for the musical, Tommy. My father loved Ann Margret and she’s never revealed much about ‘EP’ even to this day, the woman is 82 years old now and will take it to her grave. Elvis’ main man, Joe Esposito, said they were ‘more than just good friends for years’. Not just the fling mentioned in Priscilla’s book

According to marty lacker he said they saw ann margret and she yelled at them and told them what happened to elvis why he stop talking to her and they didn't know how to respond back to her but knew elvis was at graceland with priscilla which she knew herself. I dont know what lies elvis told ann margret but she act like elvis was suppose to be with her. she said it herself that she told elvis who was he going to chose and he said priscilla. elvis was mad at ann margret for telling the tabloids that they were engaged!! elvis never told ann margret or promised her marriage that just her telling her lie stories... elvis himself had to defend himself against ann margret allegations and told the press that he and ann margret were NOT engaged because everyone heard about it so did priscilla parents!! this is why he stop talking to ann margret!! he was done with her he used her!! she couldn't accept that elvis left her for priscilla that why ann margret resorted to drinking until she met her husband ROGER SMITh...

Do people realize even if they like Elvis he was a grown man with a girl basically? People's brains are not developed until the age of 25 and that whole women mature faster than men line that actually is only true when it comes to getting periods. If we're talking about everything else that is actually not based in fact and is only from sociological conditioning from society and predators that wanted to marry off girls at young ages. So stop with the she knew what she was doing crap when she was basically a child that married him. I love his music but that does not mean he was a perfect person. So just stop. Especially you women with your internal misogyny it's disgusting.

I have mixed feelings about this even being made. Knowing almost everything I need to know about Priscilla and Elvis. I am devasted to know Lisa never saw how unnecessary this project was so she could really let Sofia and her mother have it. God, I wish she was still with us. The ending was so hallow and just so rushed. The 1988 movie was so much better! I highly recommend

  • @shroommbloomm

I liked this movie and I felt it was more raw in depicting the age gap and power play between Elvis and Priscilla and how much more control he had over her. Lisa saw the script of this movie and was extremely mad at how her ‘dad was portrayed’ and called it “vengeful” which I find extremely weird of her because it is literally based on her mom’s memoir, Elvis & Me and was actually toned down quite a lot for the movie which feels like she’s dismissing her mother. Priscilla says this movie is the most accurate and really shook her up from how real it was. The 1988 adaption was made for TV and is still showing their relationship as this glamorous beautiful lifestyle when deep down she dealt with him being a groomer, cheater, an addict, an abuser etc; the stuff you Elvis fans like to ignore. To each their own though lol.

Priscilla went to Graceland for all the wrong reasons I don’t think Elvis thought it through when he moved her in. Elvis was just misunderstood it’s like he had all these vultures around him using him for his money and Priscilla and the colonel being the worst. I would love to see a movie about Elvis the man/ the giver! There’s so much good that he done so tired of seeing all these movies from the woman scorned. Wish they’d make a movie of how Priscilla used Elvis and how she raised his daughter in a cult/ Scientology it destroyed lisas life not to mention how she took money from her own grandchildren.
