Princess Isabelle the Movie: The World's Best Accordion Feature Film

In "Princess Isabelle," writer/director Morgan W. Boatman tells the story of Rose, a woman driven to find meaning while searching for something she didn't ever want: her husband's accordion! Featured in the 1999 Worldfest International Film Festival, it was a huge hit with local Flagstaff, Arizona audiences as it highlights local sites and personalities. It was a real community effort produced on a shoestring but with tons of heart. Even after twenty years, Princess Isabelle remains the best -- and maybe the only -- feature-length accordion movie ever made!

If only Weird Al's movie showed as much love and reverence to the instrument as shown here. Sense of humour and sense of soul, thanks for sharing your love for accordions in such an entertaining and relatable way. Dr. Leidheim and the special effects were excellent choices.

Thank you for watching! I loved the first few scenes of Wierd Al's movie! It was like it was going to take place in a world where the accordion was revered and loved. Accordions changed my life, this movie is my tribute to them. Thanks for your kind comments.

I play some and very much enjoy it. I wish the movie makers had introduced more styles ; Cajun, Irish, Tango etc. etc. The accordion was the music synthesizer of the 19th century. They are so versatile.

Thanks i find much to celebrate abiut this movie. As a player not a film buff i would not dare critique it in comments section. The message i take away is very simple. Always esteem others as better than ones self. For those we struggle to love or respect. Commit them to God and take your hands off. Do not call anything unclean that He ( God) has sanctified. Rose has some ways to go with her prayer life, but i get it. Blessings from UK to Flagstaff.
