Primal Rage - "OK, I heard you" Development Code Input Discovered

Ойындар

(Notice: If you want to find some stuff that I have already found scroll all the way down on this description for a list of some stuff)
So in this video I show you all the development code in Primal Rage 1. This works in both Version 2.3 and Version 1.7 as I have tested them both in MAME, however I haven't tested on real hardware so be sure to check to see if it works on your board if you own a PR1. The player must on the left player hold up on the joystick and button 1 (HQ) and right player should hold up on the joystick afterward flip the test switch on the game to enter test mode. You will see the text "OK, I heard you" immediately let go of the held buttons in order to enter developer mode in the test menu otherwise if you hold it for too long it will show the normal test menu.
Changes:
Sounds by Number and CAGE Error Log enabled under Sound Tests
Mobs test enabled under Video Tests
Adjust Volume now writes what the value of each bar is
Controls Test shows the raw code for each of the controls
Scope loops tests enabled
Debug Options enabled
Custom Test (Looping) and EEPROM Test enabled under Memory Tests
This code is nothing really big but it is definitely interesting as not even The Cutting Room Floor has this code.
Also I referenced TotalMK or TMK finding that MK1 code as well recently. Here's his video on that go check it out: • New Mortal Kombat Arca...
Anyways the Mob Test controls are as follows:
Left Player:
Directions: Move Graphics coordinates
Button 1 (HQ): Increase Mob Number in lower left hand corner (Seems to break things in MAME)
Button 2 (HF): Go back to previous menu
Button 3 (LQ): Decrease sprite one bit at a time
Button 4 (LF): Doesn't seem to do anything
Right Player:
Directions Up and Down: Change Size Scale of Sprite
Directions Left and Right: Change image
Button 1 (HQ): Skip 0x20 images forward
Button 2 (HF): Skip 0x20 images backwards
Button 3 (LQ): Increase sprite one bit at a time
Button 4 (LF): Doesn't seem to do anything
For those looking for character sprites they begin at PIX:0BBC starting with Talon (Version 2.3)
Things I have found in Primal Rage Version 2.3:
Notable Sound Locations:
Two unused character select cursor movement sounds like a cymbal crash (Command: 80C7) and a whistle (Command: 80C8) (Necrosan and Slashfang maybe? Who knows been in since Version 1.7 though)
Unused worshiper sound later used in console ports at Command: 80CC
Assorted unusued sounds from Command: 80E6 to Command: 80E9 (Maybe used?)
Unused theme: Command: 80ED
Siren: Command: 80F2
Unused Armadon Roar: Command: 8045
Two ribbits thud and scream: Command: 8058
Assorted screams (Maybe unused?): Command: 805D
Multiple Brain electric crackles: Command: 805F
Armadon Buzzsaw (Unused in Version 2.3): Command: 80AD
Notable pix locations in Mob Tests of unused graphics:
Unused Halo and Wing Graphics for Blizzards Redemption Finisher: PIX:0115 - 011C
CAGE Audio Graphic: PIX:0376 - 0390
Electric Ball Projectile (Maybe used for Sauron? It is before Saurons actual Stun Roar projectile): PIX:03C1 - 03D0
Alternate Ground Cracking: PIX:0697 - 069E
Unused Vertigo Win Frames With Lightning Strikes:PIX:05D7 - 06D9
Unused Blizzard Ice Block:PIX:0720 - 0726
