I was born the year President Reagan left office so I didn't have the pleasure of growing up hearing him speak live. I'm very grateful the Reagan Library was established so that young people like me have the opportunity to learn at the feet of a giant after his passing. And, as an Irish American, this was doubly moving to me. I couldn't be more proud.❤

@@bendakstarkiller1270Churchill is a genocidal racist colonialist. No statue of him shall be placed anywhere. Equal rights for all will not be achieved until the tools of oppression have been dismantled. The Industrial Revolution and Capitalism did not move us away from the exploitation of feudalism and lords. That legacy stayed; and will stay until a truly fair socialist system is established. AntiFa is a very small useless group with no leverage. They are politically inept. Anyway, no Marxist revolution is happening anywhere outside of Africa and Asia right now. The United States and United Kingdom still continue to sway ever more to the right - benefitting the rich elites that the dictatorship of the bourgeoise serves. We see the same patterns here as in the 1920s and 1930s except reversed. During those times after the Great Depression, more and more people turned to socialism (and facism on the opposite end of the spectrum) as the systems of capitalism collapsed. (Some countries, like the USA, managed to avoid this by brutally murdering communists.) In Nazi Germany, the facists won, barely, with help from Social Democrats, Conservatives, businessmen, etc. Within 12 years the new facist capitalist system collapsed, and post war was only kept alive by exploitation of foreign nations, albeit not directly. We see the same thing today, except socialism isn't experiencing this due to the absolute decimation from 1945-now, with the Red Scare, the Yellow Scare of today (with China), the rigging of the Russian 1996 elections to stop Communists from winning, the support of United Russia (Putin and Yeltsin's party) as they shelled the Russian white house where the communist members of the Supreme Soviet and the Russian nationalists had allied in a desperate bid to save democracy as the US and NATO-backed Yeltsin government frantically dismantled it. All in all, capitalism is failing, but facism may rise in its place for an even greater downfall.

Their comments could not be understood from the press galleries. They marched out peaceably to cries of 'Out! Out!' from members from both sides of the horseshoe-shaped chamber. No, Ireland won their independence from the Imperialist British. Although we haven't reclaimed our lands in the north and we still have a certain English/Scottish minority to 'deal with'

would kicked that asshole Reagan in the feckin shins and then would have beat him over the head with a baseball bat!. Reagan was a murderous bastard funneling money to the Contras in Nicaragua. The civil war there was funded by the USA and killed 500, 000 people including 3 American nuns who were hacked to death by machetes! He was rotten homophobic piece of human garbage.. was silent for a year as 1000s of gay men and then straight people were dying of HIV.. I hate the motherfucker. I sure hope he is hell where he belongs!

Reagan, actually helped the Northern Ireland situation too before Clinton. Was it religion or was it just the UK wanting to conquer as usual. So awful. BUT now thanks be to god that us two islands who are like twins can now acknowledge our differences but are so very similar compared to all of Europe.
