We elect a leader and expect them to perform. And then glorify them, no matter what they do. Most of the leaders in the early part of India post-independence were thrust upon. The main intention was to bring in their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as if there no other Indian is eligible to be a leader. The legacy continues even after generations and we do not mind great-granddaughter in law to lead the party. We call this democracy. Look at China. Where they were in 1950? And where they are now. I don't get into a discussion about capitalism vs socialism vs communism. We glorify our own leaders, no matter what they do...? Right?

Despite the many mistakes the party made during their more than 70 years of rule, no one can deny the fact that every one of them were well respected in the world stage. No gimmicks. No drama. All those good works have been cancelled in the 6 years of BJP rule. When we look back at history, except the period Vajpayee ji was our PM, the BJP's rule will not be pleasant.

Looking at the face of President Reagen, it looks like he was not expecting such point to point, well drafted and effective speech from Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi (who happens to be from a so called or known Backward or developing country). I wonder, when he shook hands with Prime Minister after the speech, if he said, ‘you had a better speech than me. A native English speaker is impressed at your level of delivering such an outstanding speech’. In another video, I saw President Reagan look at Prime Minister Indira Gandhi when she delivered her speech on her USA visit. Both the mother and son delivered a speech which was much much better than what President Reagan read. Feels good when I see my Indian people speak and work shoulder to shoulder and outperform other people on International platform.

He was charismatic, no doubt and great leader which we lost for nothing. But he was not knowledgeable, often manipulated by the people in his inner circles. First by tytlor and others during sikh riots, then by his own people to amend laws for Shah Banu verdict and then by his advisors to open ram mandir Babri mosque locks. He was a blunder in his first 5 years and lost the subsequent electionsbut could have proved awesome in his next tenure as he had learnt his lessons but was assassinated.

The way these leaders addressed the people was clear enough of their right intention to achieve what they had discussed upon. Their words even today stands witness of the technological break through in our country. Not mere words but words followed by actions. Great leaders of the period..

It's the intellectuals who could not a save 3 million pandits in 1989...so the reason another form of government has taken shape... If Congress would have remained neutral to all religions.. Things would be different today... They didn't.. Too much blood spilled in 1947 because they were Hindus, in 1971 Bangladesh.. In 1989 pandits.. And various other bombings... Its simple... Congress is sold out jihadi and mafia company... Its no more secular...
