I was a little girl when President Reagan was shot. Being little, I was worried about him so my daddy suggested that I write him a get well card; so I did. One evening after dinner, I was called by my dad to come talk with him and when I sat down he handed me an envelope and said, “Can you guess where this letter came from?” I couldn’t read yet but I remember looking at the envelope and I recognized the emblem but was still confused. I asked him what it was about and if I was in trouble. He laughed and opened it very carefully. I climbed onto his lap so I could see what he was reading and he began to read me a little letter thanking me for my well wishes. It was personally signed by President Reagan. To this day, I regard that as one of my most precious things I have. He really did care about every single person, even the lil ones. I sure wish that great men like that were in leadership rolls. I never was into Westerns until the last several years and now I’m obsessed with The Duke. John Wayne is an Icon that can never be replicated. You always know where he stood and he was a great father. Two of the best men we will forever remember.

Timothy Baxter Thank you so very much for your kind words. Both of my parents were first and second generation children of immigrants who came to The USA from war torn countries, literally fleeing from tyranny with not much more than the clothing they wore and a few dollars. They all were so Patriotic because for the first time in in their lives they knew what it truly meant to be free! Freedom to prosper and make their own choices and decisions about everything they never had before. That was taught to both of my parents just as it was taught to me and I my children. We really need to pause and take a good look at where we are at as a Nation and how far it’s advanced in the shortest amount of time over any other country and ask ourselves why that came to be. Now I’m not saying that we are a perfect Nation, however if you look at where other countries came from and you see that not much has changed over their expansive histories because they simply are not free to advance. The United States of America is the only Country that was founded by The People and has continued to advance in every area of life thanks to The Judicial System. (Anything that’s operated, run, or created by Humans is going to be fallible to some extent because no one is perfect.) What makes The USA so awesome is that we have Rules and Laws and they are up dated and created multiple times a day. Have you ever noticed how many silly laws that are on the books from the beginning of record that are still in there but are from the 1800’s. They are there to remind us how it used to be and how much they have changed over time as we evolve as the Greatest Country in the World! Of course you have bad because we are human, but it is Our collective Duty to OUR COUNTRY to continue to strive to be better and want to grow as a Nation. This is the largest melting pot of every possible combination of people and that’s what makes US so Prosperous. If we don’t Stop, Drop and Roll right NOW, we just might burn down the most Free Country in the World. That WILL hurt every other country in the world and Tyranny will be “The New Normal.” This is no longer just a Political issue, this is the defining moment of the Country’s future for your children and Patriotism and Freedom will no longer be a choice. Ronald Reagan once said, “We are always just one generation away from not being free.” This is that time where my children’s generation will no longer be free. I love America and all of its diversity but there is no longer Journalists, just teleprompter readers. So who’s writing this “Narratives?” Communist Socialist Elites, and I’m done tip-toeing around the truth. If the Democrats lose, they will not accept that nor will they stop after they forcefully remove the rightful candidate from office. I was terrified that Obama wasn’t going to leave and I allowed it to affect my life because I didn’t see him do anything except plant seeds of hate and division from within. But when I watched Pilosi announce the things she did and continue doing, I see this is bigger than the plandemic and we all need to stop and reflect on where we want to see ourselves a year from now and then into the demise of everything The USA has accomplished and stood for. 100’s of thousands of people died in the Civil war. The Democrats didn’t want to give up their slaves and they don’t want to do it now. They just want to enslave as many that make it through the upcoming famine . It our God Given Right to be free and WE control the government. That’s the way it was set up, so this very thing would never happen. God is within us all by different ways but HE IS ONE and for anyone thinking that I believe anything other than what I said, don’t read into that. I want the Constitution help up for everyone and it could very well be torn up by the speaker of the house just like she did on national television right behind the President of the United States of America. Have you thought about that to the Hollywood people who used to be normal ( most of them) before you got filthy rich off of your fans and now you dump on them by putting over 150 million into a Go Fund Me to keep bailing out the Rioter & Looters. You keep helping confuse people with all of the different crisis’ you caused the states to stay closed and that is going to directly make you obsolete because no one is going to be able to afford to go to a movie or concert or any professional sports let alone having to hear your constant attacks that more than not have Served in the a Military. I won’t be attending certain concerts, movies or anything to do with anyone who has been using the public to get rich and then turn on them. Then who’s going to clean your toilets and act as your servants now. God you and May God Bless the United States of America!

Timothy Baxter I apologize for the spelling mistakes, I was really tired when I wrote it and I didn’t reread it before I sent it. This has turned into a huge puppet show and I think the puppet masters should be the ones that have their assets frozen so they can’t continue to pay their protestors. I doubt that the sheeple would continue without getting something in return. They don’t even know what they are protesting about! I grew concerned years ago when you would see late night talk show comedians have someone go out and ask the general public simple questions about current events or history that they should have learned in elementary school and they didn’t know any of the answers. Everyone laughed and thought it was funny, but I looked at my husband and said, “We are in trouble because these are the very people who are easily programmed and brainwashed. I bet you anything that they end up dumbing down the education system more to control these very people.” What happened soon after? Common Core! Enough said. I love people and I love my Country. I’ve been blessed to travel to many other countries and have real experiences with different cultures and the one thing that I heard from every single person I met from every country I was at was, “I dream of one day coming to America and being FREE! I want my children to have a future and choices that I didn’t and don’t have.” EVERY SINGLE PERSON. Not one had anything bad to say about America and then I watch how entitled people here act and I pity them. If you hate America so much, then GO! Find your favorite communist party and GET OUT! I guarantee that you will change your mind after even a week in another country. You can’t protest in any other country than here, they would make you disappear! Bye Bye, I don’t care, go! I’m sorry but I’m not trying to be correct, I’m being honest. I value my experiences with all of the people I have met and learned from and it just strengthened my resolve for my Patriotic Stand for The United States Of America! God Bless you for your positivity and I’m proud to be able to comment on your thread.

I have just watched and commented on this film of President Reagan, and I just wanted to let you know, I really liked reading the comment you left. It says a good lot about the true man he was, of the good heart he lead the USA with. He meant and acted as the man of good will to the world we all live live in, with wisdom and courage and dignity. And in this mad behaving age we live in, doesn't it seem truly mad that they mocked him? Thank you again for your description of the moment.

I didn’t know much about John Wayne until the last several years when I got sick of the crap they are trying to push on us and stated watching the Westerrn channels and I actually learned a lot about how it was after the Civil War. That’s why so many people who lost everything got on a Wagon Trains and headed West. They are truly HEROS for the hardships and loss of lives traveling to settle land that people take for granted today as if it were always there. Not so. John Wayne was a True American Patriot that was not intimidated by the communist party that was trying to label everyone who was Patriotic as the enemy. Backwards to the point of confusing people who were not up on every political thing going on. I have noticed that many people don’t really start taking a serious interest in the government until they are approximately 30 ish and have a vested interest now that they are in the work force and looking to start a business or family. Watch The movie McLintock, it’s full of political jabs in humorous ways. I love John Wayne now and he is someone that is really worth learning about.

Dad was a good father and I will never forget him. Evertime I watch mr wayne I think of dad. Dad also introduced me to nascar first race I ever went to I picked the king richard petty he won the daytona 500 and I got his autograph and richard picked me up and let me sit in his car, that was in 1964 And I wasnt quiet 5 years old. John Wayne's draft in 1941 was at first deferred because he had a wife to support and four children. During the war years he became a big star but didn't follow other famous actors into the services. He chose to make movies. In 1944, he was re-classified as 1-A but his studio intervened and got him a deferment "in support of national interest.” A month later the Selective Service decided to revoke many previous deferments and reclassified him 1-A. Wayne’s studio again appealed and got his 2-A status reinstated.

Reagan was truly a great man and President! And not to take anything away from one of my favorite presidents, but I have to say though, that President Donald J. Trump has fulfilled every promise (and then some) he ever made to the American people, and he has fought hard against a tsunami of the corrupt fake news media, crooked leftist politicians, and a force of destructive propaganda, he has to face every minute of every day he has been president. And he does this for the American people. Many politicians have come to Washington D.C. and gotten filthy Rich off of the American tax payer, but Trump was already rich and gives his salary away to people who need help. I hope you stand with me come this November! Thank You

Electing Ron DeSantis as President is our only hope of redeeming ourselves. A bar that can never be reached... Reagan was a example all presidents should have to be following. My mother met john Wayne when she was young, before she met my dad, in a small town called Westport washington. His boat had some issues and needed to dock. Saw a local football game, saw the people, became a influence to my mom. My dad was retiring from the USCG when Reagan passed away, and I was home healing up from discharge from the army (I'm good now), I cried, and pop would have been at the funeral procession, as he was a representative for the USCG to the Pentagon... Two historical men my parents knew, and I'm blessed.
