I'd love to see you do your next perm on alternating red and blue rods as it will give a nice mix of curls sizes at the tight end - and you haven't used any red rods for a while. I think this will look great on you! Is there any chance of trying this when you perm it?

I might be wrong, but I thought that if a hair strand sinks, it needs moisture. If it floats, doesn't that mean it has the moisture that it needs? As always, your videos are awesome!

I believe when your hair floats it’s low porosity which means the cuticle is closed and it’s hard for moisture and water to penetrate your hair. When it sinks it’s high porosity which means the cuticle is open allowing the water and moisture to flow through your hair. A protein treatment helps fill in the cuticle gaps of the high porosity hair and doing a conditioning treatment helps moisture the low porosity that normally won’t allow the moisture in. @@ApriLynn Thank you for that. After I shampoo, I apply a lot of conditioner and then put on a shower cap while taking a shower. The last thing I do before getting out of the shower is remove the shower cap. By that time, my hair is deeply conditioned. Saves money on extra products and my hair looks great!
