Off Grid. A Lil TLC by a master craftsman is all it needs to come alive again. You and your dog can reap the healthy benefits of sun, clean air, rainfall, no smoke other than from the debris pile while cleaning, & clearing out the rotten timbers to rebuild your cottage. Hi Luxon! I was watching your new upload and I couldn’t help thinking… you should wear eye protection when you’re working! I’ve accidentally scratched my cornea on two different occasions when I’ve been gardening, and I’ve now invested in a pair of safety specs. You only get one pair of eyes so I’m very lucky I only received a scratch, not a penetrating injury. Please look after your health 😎 Best wishes from Australia

However the renovation of the overgrown relic in the Forest is exciting...Ahh, that date...1957...I was 7...exploring the coastal Georgia (US) tide marshes with my friends 💖 As you go about your revitalization, your wonder of what is was like, but moreover, the daily lives of those that built and put their love into, is surly going through your mind !? I came across this series by accident and I don't regret that I started watching all the videos. So, the house looks amazing. Limestone, limestone mortar, tiles and hand-made roof frame beams. It all seems so medieval, even though the house is about seventy years old. I also liked the interesting layout, caused by the fact that the house was built on a slope and a cellar was created from part of the lower floor. I wish the author success in the restoration of the house, although when I write this comment he has made very good progress without my wishes, haha.

But especially because you can do what you want and live in nature and having the possibilty to build up such dreamy off-grid places. You're a lucky man! Those are broad-axed timbers and mostly in good condition. This place will restore well and I am following. You were right to cut the trees as their roots and foliage will eventually destroy the building. 👍🏻 Subscribed!

What a gem. This house/home is incredible. You see campers finding something like this but they just go through it, you're making it into a home. All of my grandparents were immigrants from Italy and Ukraine. This reminds me of their farm building where they would process crops and make wine. Looking forward to this build.

I was so excited to watch Episode 1 of your new project. I will tell you though, it brought me to tears when I closed my eyes and listened to the birds, and the sounds of the forest, and your footsteps walking thru the house over the crunchy gravel and wood chips. I had on my headphones, and just closed my eyes to listen, and was transported back to being a little girl when my dad would be building something. What a sweet memory! I can't wait to see what you will make out of this lovely little spot!

@@davidvaughn7752 I was surprised myself the first time I watched one of his videos. The one he built on that little ledge of land under an outcropping of rock. He put in a wooden, raised floor, an oven/stove, open shelving, a fold-away table, and a bench/bed, and a cozy little spot for his puppy right by the fire! It was the most wonderful little shelter, tucked right out of the way. I think using the old fashioned hand tools too, makes me think of my dad, because that was what he started out with as a young man.

What an amazing piece of property. Can’t wait to see if come back to life

I watch your videos with my two little kids (2 & 3.5 years), and we love talking about what you're doing. My daughter (the older one) keeps asking where your dog is when off-screen. The work you're doing is really enjoyable to watch, but the way you put it together makes it all seem so peaceful, and the kids fall asleep watching you build. Really glad we found your channel and looking forward to watching you grow it into the future.
