Well hello from Alabama again. Luv the way u framed the roof an catching rain water. My Grandmother use to do that to wash clothes with. I like the skylight too. This house is gonna be beautiful Luxon!!!! With a Master Craftsman like u it can't help but be. I also like how u reinforced the stone it makes it look really good too!!!! I was happy to see you add a 4th instalment. And how beautiful is that filigree mortar work on the outer stone walls! That building has so much ancient character that it's hard to believe it's only 66 years old. It has the feel of a much older medieval structure. The placement of each boulder and stone in those walls took some real planning! Best of luck as you proceed. Looking forward to part 5! Take care!

The stonework looks so much better with the render removed. That dark grout only enhances the beauty of the work, the precision of the cornerstones and the skill of the original craftsmen. You are doing a very impressive sympathetic restoration and it is of much credit to you that you honour them. I look forward to seeing how you tackle the joinery, especially those beautiful art-deco sunburst doors. I firmly believe in letting the work of the tools be shown rather than sanding and smoothing everything. A nice chamfered edge is the only concession worth making. 👍🏻

Being a “horse girl”, when watching you brush the chunks of old plaster out from between the rocks with that narrow humans brush, I thought, “a hoof pick would work there!” This is a daunting project and I can see it will be amazing when it’s finished. Thank you for sharing.

.. ahh 1957 .. I was 7 and beginning to notice my world 🌞 We lived on the Atlantic Ocean .. how wonderful growing up there, exploring, wondering if there was someone on the other side doing the same as I .. I'm "77" now, still exploring those same beautiful beaches and sand dunes. Picking up little treasures the tide brings, with my grandchildren, walking those very footsteps of 1957 .. I feel your love chiseling, refurbishing the date, adding the new, into the keystone .. that year brings a rush of memories .. I hope you do not mind my memories, I'm hopelessly nostalgic ☺ Watching you brings much peace and calm 💖

With the whitewash removed and the seams sealed with plaster, the house began to look even more medieval and unusual. The work of sealing all these seams between hundreds of stones is worthy of respect! I was pleased with how the date of the renovation of the house was immortalized, but if I were the author, I would keep the original inscription on the keystone and come up with something else. Oh yes, amazing nature!
