Jack, what I like the most about you is that I can tell you’ve remained the same humble person even with all the success. That means a lot and we need more people like you in the world. I pray for you for strength to stay the course. Thank you for the episode!

Mike gives good analysis on various current events of the day. I like how Jack and Mike talk various people on different topics; e.g. terrorism, natural disasters, military history. I find it hilarious that everybody had beards. I am retired out of 10th SFG (A) and every trip to Afghansitan, at least for 1/10/B, only 5 guys could have beards. The most ridiculous shit ever. I remember on 1 trip over, I was the 18F and my beard rivaled Chuck Norris, the PRC Chief of Police talked directly to me everytime we had a meeting with him, because our Capt and Team Sergeant both had 10 hairs between the both of them. It was just so stupid that the leadership didn' t understand the battle space. Thanks for preaching it brother, keep it up.

Just wow. I am listening to this while printing off some paperwork. I was just a tanker. I wear no watch or other yuppy thing. I am kind of tore up from the neck down. I am getting ready to have my 18th or 19th operation. I'm getting a spinal cord stimulator, but I basically take a lot of pain meds every day and just gut a lot of pain and keep myself rolling and busy doing the things that I like doing. I raise hogs on pasture, we garden, and do lots of things to be self sufficient. We also have veteran neighbors out here in the country, and we all are close and work together. We do hard manual labor, we still get dirty, and we shoot together, and I think have a good idea of things going on, and the current state of things. I actually worked on the border myself for many years when I first got out. You all tracking sleep and things like that is just pretty lame and I just don't feel connected to you all like I once did. With the money comes a certain difference in attitude over time. Hell, I am lucky in my condition if I get a few hours a night. You all now talk down to people like you are above everyone, and hell I have a cousin who was doing the same shit. He was embedded in Russia when his mother passes (my aunt) and couldn't be told, or attend her funeral, and didn't even find out for over a year.

Using a marathon as an example, since an attack of terrorism was possible. Bad choice. A black Swan event is an unpredictable or unanticipated. A bent that has a major change in what's going on or outcome. The fact that our society was being told constantly to be on the lookout for possible merits of events at such events meant it was predictable. There was a high rate that it could have been avoided had people been paying Attention.
