Love you guys! After moving from NY to Texas this past year, the only thing I was not prepared for was the 120-degree heat. The Gelatinous comment just motivated me though... The safety belt is essentially an “I WIN” button, so it wouldn’t have been fair to wear something that deflects all strikes and projectiles, as well as strikes back on its own.

I once asked him how he handles people that might want to cause him harm considering he is somewhat famous and there is a chance someone somewhere might want to challenge him and his answer was situational awareness and learning how to identify who might be a threat and who is not. I can tell you he is a larger than life guy and he fills the room with his energy and creates a persona that makes people want to respect him. I cannot imagine someone who might want to take their shot at him, but I am sure somewhere someone thinks they can take him. Maybe that person should go step on the mat at Sheepdog HQ and take their chances! hahahaha!

Here we go with the "citizens don't need to know shit" mentality. 🙄 I thought I liked this Ironclad guy, but if he's going to be one of these "I'm better than you because I'm a military guy", then there's no need in supporting him by watching. Maybe I'm misunderstanding him, maybe not. As a Constitutional Conservative, I'm going to tell you that my taxes entitle me to virtually everything the government does. Obviously, there are very few minor exceptions to this. There are plenty of things that most of us train and educate ourselves for and never use. If you're using the taxpayer funded training you received to make your fortune, it's only right that you train people who are willing to pay for it. How hypocritical and ironic that those of us in the 2A community are taught to avoid confrontation at all cost, yet we're also told by those same people that we're not good enough to train for something that could happen. "You guys and gals need to train" "Don't train in that, though" 🙄 I've had all I can stand of this attitude from LEO'S, military, and government officials who think they're better than us and we need them.

there’s plenty of classes/courses that teach civilians how to be in a fire fight. i get what your saying. but to be honest it’s up to us to train and take these classes. nobody is coming to save us, it’s up to us to rally up during tough times.

So many of these "influencers" demand We the People get the training, then they get hypocritical by saying we can't have this or that particular type of training. I find it especially concerning when it was partially my tax dollars that paid for that training they now refuse to impart on us, AFTER telling us we need to be trained. 🙄

I don't understand where in this video he says for people to not train 😕 Plenty of civilian training courses - just finished wilderness first responder myself post military retirement. The reality is 76% of the population is physically and mentally unfit for movement under fire and needs to accept that. 30% of the population is on psych meds - even more addicted to alchohol - you want that person holding a weapon behind you while clearing a room? Are you referring to getting an elite career post military that requires military training? Then sign up for three years and get paid to train - then serve your community. That will qualify you for any job. Not saying you did not serve your community, but this seems like you cannot serve in the way you wish you could and I am sorry for that. The truth is all the cool stuff is only minutes and hours in between weeks of mundane and repetitive tasks.

Tim once told a story about 3 men surrounding a woman on a train in Europe with the clear intent to collectively SA her, and she knew it and was helpless, so he and his friends sat down around them men, surrounding them, and it was understood even by them that they were in grave danger, and when the girl left the train they remained with their new friends to do what operators do. Either he was telling the truth then (I think it was a Tim Ferris interview) or he is telling the truth now about never being in a fight he wasn't paid to engage in in his adult life. I like Tim and I choose to believe he is lying now to make a point, but doing so in this manner is very unwise for his credibility in my opinion. I would think a lot less of him if he found himself in the train situation and didn't dispense some vigorous assistance to ensure no other women would be harmed that evening by those men, or ideally, ever.

I find it astonishing that some of you are more interested in what *other* men are doing (or not doing) while you live a shit and mundane life style of your own. The hypocrisy is laughable.

This the same guy that went to Afghanistan to advertise 5.11 and fill buses with random Afghans and screw over a bunch of legitimate SIVs trying to evacuate? People forget he’s a former Green Beret. Noncombatant Evacuation Operations are not in his skill set. But he sure pretended it was and probably cost a lot of SIVs their lives.
