Very accurate about where we get our resources too! Another good video, it’s great that we can laugh about our own profession. You could’ve included leadership team asking you to do an assessment task to collect data, but then not really using the data effectively, having meetings that would’ve been better as an email, or having to buy more stationery because some parents think that 1 whiteboard marker will last their child for the whole year (your checkout beeper may have exploded at that!)

Oh god, being in high school and watching this makes me really feel bad for my primary school teachers. In all seriousness, teachers deserve the best this world has to offer. A lot of my teachers, especially my primary school ones, are a big factor in who I am now and I can't thank them enough for it. Teaching is a hard job, and something I feel like us students don't really appreciate (since we're too busy talking shit about the ones who are harsh markers-), especially during remote learning. Teachers are such a gift, I doubt society would be anything without them.

You forgot to put the painkillers in the bag, for the headache acquired on the bus, from the loud chatter of excursion-excited children.

...as well as inflicting UTIs on kids who haven't had time to go to the toilet that morning and have to hold their bladder contents until recess. Then they don't get an opportunity during lunch time because all the school thugs are in the loop lighting up and you are busting to go before home time and the loos are shut because the school janitor locked the look for the day after lunchtime. Or was this only in the 1970s? Yes, the tough Primary kids were smoking at age 12.

Yeah I as a adhd and dyslexic kid I hated all my teachers and my mother was a real estate agent with a problematic kid who only got paid when she sold a house … I fucken hated her pager and fucken hated her mobile phone and hated all those fucken home opens and bullshit sucking up to people she had to do . But she did it to keep a roof over our head . I so maybee it was worth all the screaming and shouting .. I’m only 38 I’m still trying to process .
