Totally. Also the side eyes at that person who asks questions in the staff meeting that was finishing early… The ability to triage between, eating lunch, going to the toilet, last minute photocopying or reheating your cold instant coffee… Hubby is a real estate agent…

Oh! I remember the excursion to the waste water treatment plant. Grade 6 it was. It was part of the lessons we were doing about water, water use, water treatment, etc. 10 year old me found it quite interesting actually. The smells were a bit much though!
Very accurate about where we get our resources too! Another good video, it’s great that we can laugh about our own profession. You could’ve included leadership team asking you to do an assessment task to collect data, but then not really using the data effectively, having meetings that would’ve been better as an email, or having to buy more stationery because some parents think that 1 whiteboard marker will last their child for the whole year (your checkout beeper may have exploded at that!)
The face at the end was the best Jimmy.
When Jimmy knows more about teaching than the government does!
You forgot being pregnant and never being seen again
Have you been a teacher Jimmy? Because this is way too accurate for you not to be, or not be surrounded by teacher friends that bitch to you about this stuff :P
Oh god, being in high school and watching this makes me really feel bad for my primary school teachers. In all seriousness, teachers deserve the best this world has to offer. A lot of my teachers, especially my primary school ones, are a big factor in who I am now and I can't thank them enough for it. Teaching is a hard job, and something I feel like us students don't really appreciate (since we're too busy talking shit about the ones who are harsh markers-), especially during remote learning. Teachers are such a gift, I doubt society would be anything without them.
Don’t forget the hideous neon vests that they wear on duty, and the infamous ‘no hat, no play’ phrase.
Loved watching this and chiming in "I do that... I do that... I know I don't have to laminate everything... but I do"
So the next one is just "lies" and three minutes of Jimmy scanning at top speed??? hahahaha.
“1,2,3! Eyes on me! 3,2,1! Ears are on!” That transitioned from my days as a primary school teacher and now I’m into swim teaching. But this rang so true and made me remember why I got out of primary school teaching.
That look full of anguish at the end...

In 1973 we had lovely Miss Austin, who became Mrs. Graham over the Christmas holidays, and by chance I had her for two years running (combined year classes). It took my 9-year-old brain several months to cotton on to the fact that they were the same person.

OMG yes! I'm not a teacher anymore, but I did teach for 10 years over in China at a Chinese- International primary school. My kids could smell me coming a mile away every morning, carrying my McCafe coffee (wanker coffee? Yeah, I lived in Guangzhou and Mcafe is VERY much a thing there!) with no less than 3 pens/ pencils stuffed into my ponytail. And my students actually started copying me doing that, it was adorable! Teaching, good times......

THE FORKS!! Yes, they always disappear 😢
There are never ANY forks in the staff room - so true!!! But they aren’t really holidays, they’re time in lieu of all the extra hours & hours of work crammed into term time; or time to go to the dentist/specialist/get your tax done/car serviced, etc, OR, often when teachers get sick!
“The particular jangles” When I hear that it triggers my on another level
Lies…and that look - stitches
