Turned out amazing. Thinking of doing the same thing. I'd like to dig down on the sawdust side and have a couple wheelbarrows flush with the concrete that I could just sweep the dust into. Then dump on the garden when full.

There’s just something about a smooth concrete slab that just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy

A site that I watch with a shop that he built for his portable mill is almost identical to yours. The side that he loads his logs from is very similar to yours as well. What he did was build two frames to fit in that large opening and put a heavy duty plastic on both frames and hung the frames to the posts. When he loads the logs on his machine and when not in use he can close both frames that are covered nicely in plastic to keep the rain and snow off his machine. It looks very nice as well. Just a thought. Love the concrete floor. Great job.

You opted to work on a concrete floor instead of a dirt & sawdust floor? Oh my aching legs!! & You can't be in snow country, or the first time that polished floor sees snow & you step on it, you're going for a ride!

You'll be able drive a bulldozer up on thst slab. Im curious about the Beam overhead. Is it one whole log milled into certain size?

The beam is an engineered Micro Lam (2)2x12.
Guessing LT40 wide or LX450??
