Looking great John ! I hadn't asked but I figured there was a reason for not sheathing it. Makes sense especially being a cabin. I'm sure its gonna look great. Looking forward to the next episode already. Lol stay safe

Haha classic, running out of flashing tape with 3' to go! At least you're all dried in for the inevitable late summer/fall rain season... 👍👍

Many modern window installs involve flashing the bottom sill before installing the window, not after, so that water has an exit path. Air sealing can be done on the inside using spray foam, for example. I'm not an expert on windows, but I was wondering if you intentionally flashed afterwards?

John the OSB will be a waste of money and time. Between interior pine board “ship lap” type walls and exterior plank siding it will be plenty resistant to racking. Go with your first inclination.

i think john should do diagonal wall bracing on the inside walls notched into the studs this will eliminate the need for all the osb and the siding and t&g inside will be plenty strong enough.

It funny you ask that question. Because thats what the next video is all about.

What resists racking in the walls? There's no bracing. Something needs to run on a diagonal to form triangles in the walls.

The pack rat in you was in all his glory there. Left over roof sealing tape used on your reused windows....oh ya, lol. I wasn't going to use sheathing on ours either.....but every single person convinced me otherwise.....so the upcoming cabin video will be.....you guessed it.....osb sheathing. Lol. Best wishes John and family.

Not a bad decision there. It will be stronger and have great lateral stability. Good luck with it!!

Your building looks good. I’m just not to thrilled about the clear panels in the roof. They look good now but how are you going to clean them when they get dirty.

Why is your tiny house wrapped and you don't have the The wood panel up and then wrap the tiny house I'm not trying to complain but I've never seen it done that way I just want to win you going to put your wood up Gotta have some kind of wood up on the outside before you spray the inside with phone Then you rap house when you put siding or something on the house sorry but I'm just waited to to know why you are doing that way

House wrap cuts down on air infiltration. Makes it easier to keep warm, even without insulation.
