In nearly 50 years of watching Chelsea I've witnessed the club flirt with chaos but never at the current levels. What happens when the loan army returns in the summer? The new manager will have a squad of over 50 players! Chelsea have become a circus of the absurd!

No, not in Premier league. The competition weeds out the weak. Matches are war, not a school tournament. Players need a general to keep million dollar heads level. Like in the military when we have a superior who is weak. We embarrass them tactically in front the brass. Either they shape up or ship out. But will not be lead by weakness.

The incompetency of one doesn't negate the incompetency of another. Potter didn't have a specific reputation in the first place. He has never won anything nor worked at this profile and won't ever do that either. He is an adult who knows what he was signing up for and from a salary of 2.5m/year came to 12.5m and for this 6 months because of his sacking got 20m. A wise person knows whether a job is too big for them or not and whether they can handle it and Potter got greedy. Boehly and Eghbali have micromanaging style but if you have backbone and character you won't allow them to do so or once you are negotiating the deal you talk it out and define the scope of work and responsibility but Potter was happy with that because he is a yes man + he really thought that he can manage Chelsea like Brighton and made fun of fans telling them the owners have changed I'm here for long time blah blah but any fool knows that in football fans are the one who decide whether someone stays or not the owners just execute it. If you lose the fanbase even if you are getting the result then you are finished. Many people say he has emotional intelligence education but having studied something doesn't make you an expert in it nor it means that you can execute the theory yourself and Potter certainly is not an emotionally intelligent person.

I don't see Nagelsmann trusting Chelsea, i think it will all hinge on how Lampard does & how Chelsea finish the season. Enrique seems the one who Boehly wants, solid experience & a coach who'll likely work with the wide squad at the club. Nagelsmann..is no doubt an excellent manager but when he joined Leipzig...he specifically said he wants everyone on the same page & ultimate responsibility for decisions. Boehly will clash with him, just as he did with Tuchel. The fact he is looking at Lampard after Potter tells you he wants obedience. Nagelsmann is too good a manager to take on Chelsea despite the wealth...he is a good long term option for Liverpool & Madrid. I wont rule him out of taking it though because if they can offer 60m to Potter.. then no one would turn down that kind of money.

Potter is not an impact manager. The board hired him for a long term job, messed up the squad with poor transfers/ lack of sales, then sacked him when they should have backed him. Getting an interim manager in was pathetic! Basically gave up on the season with 10 games to go. Where is the benefit of sacking Potter if you don't get a new manager in to assess the squad?

Give this team to Pep Zidane or Klopp and see what happens. Give it back to Tuchel to see that Chelsea will win CL again this very season. If it wasn't for the points that Tuchel got at the beginning of the season Chelsea would be in relegation battle now, the scoring record of Chelsea hasn't been this bad since 1929 and this team scored last season 77 goals that should tell you how clueless incompetent and bang average coach Potter is.

Some of the comments on this video are hilarious. Potter was the worst Chelsea manager for almost 30 YEARS. Chelsea have been the one of if not the most successful club in terms of total trophies since the millennium. This same core squad won the Champions League, Supercup and Club World Cup 1-2 years ago. Potter's replacement at Brighton is outperforming him even after losing core 1st team players. Potter is too nice to be an elite level manager. Every top manager is the world commands respect and fear from their squad. Potter may even be an elite level tactician but if his personality doesn't demand that he be listened to an obeyed then players aren't going to fight for him and they're going to take the piss because they know he only has authority by title.
