@@adambump5297 Also I think it only happens if the Captain of the Dutchman renownces his duty to ferry the dead to the other side (as Jones did when he couldn't find Calypso after his first 10-year term). Because Will took over and faithfully fulfills his deed, he and the crew remain human throughout (with occasional starfishes on their faces, but no otherwise abnormal transformations).

You know they've been serving for a long time if you can't recognize them. Bootstrap is obvious, and the only subtle clues I could find are Penrod (due to being the "shrimp" of the crew) and Maccus (thanks to his axe).

@@sparkshark789 the man with the white beard at 0:30 (top right corner) is Jimmy Legs, the black man is Palifico, and the man beside him (wearing the tricorn hat) is Koleniko. The one behind Bootstrap at 0:37 is Clanker, and you get a brief glimpse of Hadras' face behind Koleniko at 0:34.

No. Because when someone becomes part of the crew is it a gradual evolution? what causes the evolution? does it happen instantly? We saw when Bootstrap Bill betrays the crew to help Will he becomes literally part of the ship. What on earth causes this stuff!?

The curse of betraying the ship’s mission causes it, and no it does not happen instantly. The longer they serve aboard ship, the more a part of the ship they become.

It happens over time gradually and it's because The mission of the flying Dutchman is to ferry sailors who died at sea over to the next life. The Davy Jones was corrupted from the betrayal so he altered the mission and instead of helping ferry the dead he chose to make them join his crew or killed them That's why he looks like an octopus and his crew look like sea monsters. That's why I want Will took over as captain they reverted back to normal because he was uncorrupted so the main mission of the Dutchman was back on track.

I found the cleaning scene (where all sea creatures fall) soothing.

If I were Beckett, I'd be pretty worried that the Dutchman "survived". Because unless Mercer and the other EITC soldier could breathe underwater, that's a pretty big indicator that they're dead. Meaning Jones is free to exact his revenge on Beckett (I know Jones is dead, but the latter doesn't know that).

I love Beckett's reaction to seeing that Flying Dutchman is no longer on his side...Davy Jones has been killed. It's the first time he has no control...he's plans failed....and he doesn't know what to do....and he basically leaves everyone to die.....it satisfyingly seeing that smug face drop....especially when you're waiting for this to happen...

Orlando as a pirate in that black shirt with a scar.. sexiest thing in a movie!! :))

Probably one of the best scenes of the story. Jack, William kick trading company ass. I love it when a movie comes together. Excellent job producer,director, cast,crew. Really enjoyed 😉

@@Bountyhopper I think that the curse of the Flying Dutchman for its captain is the only thing that starts over. The terms of service for the crew remains the same. Will hasn't had a chance to screw it up by, say, not ferrying souls of the dead like he's supposed to or attempting to make landfall between the 10 years of the curse.

Getting all that encrusting sea life off must have felt great, lol.

I'm glad they're human again, but I'm really gonna miss the crusty, sealike design of the ship and crew.

I find them turning human to be kind of sad. I can only imagine what it's like to become mutants over time and not being able to recognize yourself anymore. Then getting a chance to be human again. If you look at the pirate on the right of bootstrap. He acts like if his heart started beating again for the first time in years.

I wish we would have been able to see more scenes with them as humans. And even if its just preparing the canons and stuff. Or seeing if there voices changed as well

I've got three theories to explain it. 1) Considering how Jones and the crew have the power to teleport, he might've just teleported back. 2) He might've just fallen on the deck of the ship, because we don't actually see him fall into the water (the POTC wiki goes with this scenario). 3) The Dutchman might've gone to pick up him up while underwater. Although the POTC wiki gives number 2 as the best possible explaination, 1 and 3 are my best to explain how Hadras (the conch-headed guy) came back (you can get a glimpse of his face at 0:34).

Hadras' actor can also be seen(it's really difficult and only for a split second, but he's there) and he also fell in, but I think that they wanted to show every prominent crew member in their human form, as a reward to their actors.

I loved the scene when Beckett in his usual confident demeanour thought he had the better of Jack Sparrow in the deal he struck, then he realises lately that it was they who got fucked up. I guess all the characters ended up in the same way.Really hated the last scene when all pirate lords took their hats off in the name of will when it clearly was Jack all along, playing his tricks.
