@@crazydissy3893 wouldn't he die though? Cause it's putting his heart in the chest that causes the curse to work. So since the curse doesnt exist anymore. Doesnt he just die or at the very least become a vegetable because you cant live without a heart. Literally you need it to pump blood through your veins

I haven't seen the film, but from 0:33 to 0:36 don't know why but really like the way Will almost sounds like a harsher, more experienced pirate, seeking more like the Dutchman's captain

Excellent use of Will and Elizabeth's farewell music from the third movie.

Hate how they made will all “cursed” looking. He’s been doing his job ferrying souls, when he came back to visit elizebeth at the end of “at worlds end” he looked normal. Which means he’s been doing his job for 10 years. Did he all of a sudden just say, naw, I’m done lookin normal. I’m just gonna not ferry souls.

I don’t think he’s supposed to be turning into a sea creature or anything like Davy Jones and his crew. I think he’s just covered in barnacles from being underwater.

I think his curse is to be away from his family. Yeah he can come to shore and be with them once every ten years, but for the rest of that time he’s a slave to his duty. His being a good man makes sure of that too. And the hurt he must feel knowing he can never be with his family is the true curse. They’ll die, and he’ll still be out there for the rest of time.

The most common fan theory is that it's his punishment for occasional detour to save Henry's life instead of neutrally wandering around the see and collect souls as he's supposed to.

@@Pravdacz-tp8zu The thing though, is that is not alluded to in the film. (Correct me if I'm wrong though.) If it's not in the film, it didn't happen. Screenwriting 101. You can't expect your audience to know things that are from sources outside of the medium they're watching. So, from the information in the previous films, to this, it just looks like the writers wanted Will to look barnacle edgy.

This is so dramatic I love it! It's like watching a semi-Spanish soap opera!

the music makes this scene extra emotional. i thought i was going to frek out in cinema 😅

despite the critics, still an amazing last performance. Captain Jack Sparrow will always be my role model

For some reason, Will's voice starts to sound a bit like Bill when he talks about staying away from Jack

I have to admit this is going to be great but I wish they went in the direction of showing Jack Sparrow's origin. Meaning, all the adventures he had as a child to the ones before the first pirates of the Caribbean movie.

the books by rob kidd are pretty cool if you have time for a read. a bit on the kids side but there was so much of Young Sparrows tale told in the short series.

yet it shows Elizabeth and Henry in the post-credit scene in pirates of the Caribbean at worlds end...

I think the reason Will is growing barnacles is because of Salazar and his crew who are still trapped in the triangle waiting to be ferried

We all know the Captain and the crew of the Flying Dutchmen turn into sea creatures if they stop doing their duties (reaping the souls of those who died at the sea). We also know that Will Turner would have NEVER stopped doing his duties. So, I got a theory to excuse the lazy writing. The Flying Dutchman gets its crew by finding those who are dying at the sea (Bootstrap summoned Jones to get rid of his fate at the bottom of the sea, Jack also did it when the Pearl was sunk the first and he was dying). Henry drowns himself in order to see his father, who's bounded to appear when he's summoned at the time the child is dying. Henry says that it's not the first time he's done this and he'll keep doing it. But everytime he's saved Henry, Will doesn't take him as part of the crew. He just appears to save and let him go, over and over again. Maybe that's the reason he's got barnacles all over him and the crew seemed to be angry to be cursed again (he tells Henry "they're coming, they know you're here"). Maybe part of the duties as Captain of the Flying Dutchman are also to make the deal of taking the souls of those who are saved for 100 years. Or if they don't accept, get rid of them by leaving them to die, or killing them (like Davy Jones does in Dead Man's Chest). Now, I can't excuse why at begining, in Henry's writings it says that it's been 8 years since Will has been cursed and in the post-credits scenes form At World's End, 10 years after the curse, Will seems to be just fine.

I think the next pirates of the Caribbean is going to be about Will and his son

here's an idea , the next pirates of the Caribbean movie should be called Neptune's revenge staring Evanna Lynch as the daughter of Neptune !!! I could almost write a script myself !!! that would be EPIC !!!! she is a stunning beauty if I say so myself .......I would wrap the plot around pearls , the pearl necklace of the daughter of Neptune , with the help of the mermaid Serena , then we could see what happened to the cleric after she saved him in potc 4 , maybe even get Davie Jones to help also !?!? ,,, it would tie in beautifully​ !!!!! j.d. Ohio....

I dont understand two things. In this part the Jack's compass is given by a man on that ship. Didn't Jack get the compass from Tia Dalma?? Another thing, Jack gave the compass to the bar man in return drink. It meaned Salazar could got out from Devil's Triangle. But in the previous films the compass was in other's hand (e..g Cutler Becket, Gibbs, Blackbeard) and in that case there was no Salazar and his escape from D. T. Any idea for that???? And there is a third spec, what hapenned with thr Queen Anne's Revenge? Is it destroyed by Salazar's ship?

This scene just screams budget cuts. "Yeah, my crew is totally here, you can hear them, see?" Also, I thought the fish curse was only a thing because Davy Jones made his job evil. Why is it suddenly bad to be on the Dutchman again? Sure, it sucks to be at sea for ten years, but I thought the worst parts were gone.

What year does this take place? The guillotine's origin is traced to 1789. From what I understand, the first movie took place in 1720's. It's probably been..what 30 years, at most, since Jack met Will. Then that would put this film around 1750's maybe 60's. Idk, maybe I got some wrong info.

1) Angelica is still on the Island, this film take place one year later of On Stranger Tides or escape. 2) Philip and Syrena live together in peace after Philip was turned on a Marman by Syrena's kiss. 3) Pintel and Ragetti died in the Blackbeard's Queens Anne Revenge attack against the Black Pearl before the event of On Stranger Tides.

i saw the movie it called potc salzar revenge this spanish guy was salazar there was a scene where jack was young pirate i saw his uncle his uncle was in the sam preson at the end barbosa died and he had a daughter his daughter is the girl with jack and will's son she didnt know that smith aka barbosa is her father until the end of the film she knew too late that barbosa was her father when he died by sacrifising himself to save jack,will's son and her father and like they say like father like son wich means that will and his father bill were cursed by the same curse
