Maybe mention what Dyche has had to carry this club on his shoulders this season before completely lambasting him ,a guy who has us safe with three games left after an 8 point deduction brought about by the gross incompetence of Moshiri and Kenwright (which bizarrely you never touch on) the man’s a miracle worker for getting this squad effectively on 44 points with 9 to play for , listening to that makes me think you haven’t a clue of the financial trouble this club is actually in . Also a win (something to bloody gloat )over Liverpool at home since 2010 and And I’ve a lot of time for what he’s done here

It's easy to underestimate the condtions he's had to work under, which does make the job he's done even more remarkable. And, unlike with previous managers, there seems to be no dissent or downing tools.

This was always going to be a boring game, two managers that don’t mind long ball and it was very much a case of “Defence’s on top”. We desperately need to get Dyche some attackers who can regularly trouble PL defences rather than the “attackers” we currently have that only do it a few times a season at most. Ultimately if you want exciting football you need exciting footballers, simple as that

Last thing on this, if we’re here again next season then it’s because the owner has earned us more points deductions or we sell players and don’t replace them like we’ve been doing for the past 3 seasons. Have you ever thought Dyche is one dimensional because his players are one dimensional? He plays to their strengths which is defending.

Can't underestimate the effect the ownership and general state of the club will have on things. Makes the job he's done an even bigger achievement

Lads you’ve been saying the same thing for the past 2 seasons now “never again etc” but there’s a reason we’ve been in relegation battles the last 3 seasons. It’s ludicrous that you think we’re destined for that again next season WITH DYCHE despite the fact the only reason we were in a relegation battle this season was our ownership. Owner puts us in danger = “we just want a manager that can make the most of what he’s got” but then once the manager gets you away from that danger you want him gone?

bit disappointed to hear the criticism of dyche. and let me say first... i'd like to frame my defence of dyche with the context of how objectionable i find him generally. i don't enjoy that he sings the national anthem at all, let alone with gusto. i don't like the bottomless well of truisms from which he draws in every single interview. i don't like the "i've read business management books and been to a conference" talk, we're a football club, not a cardboard box factory. i don't like how complimentary he was about klopp. anyway, you get the point... i'm not dyche fanboy. HOWEVER... with an eight point deduction, a season-on-season weakened squad, and a tiny (injury prone) squad at that, i can't help but be impressed. to find ourselves safe at such a canter after three consecutive home wins is quite relaxing, and i haven't been relaxed about everton since ancelotti. oh, and one of those three home wins was a derby victory where the reds were made to look hopeless. hopeless. are we ready to ship out a manager who made a mockery of klopp's last derby because we want "progressive" (i.e. fashionable) football? of the last nine managers we've had, it's only been dyche and ancelotti who've NOT sent the team out shaking in their boots in the derby. and to me that's massive because if you can make somebody confident then you can make them perform better. and during all this chaos during the moshiri era, confidence has been THE issue that's caused us all our problems on the pitch--make no bones about it. we've endured moyes at his worst, playing gun-shy trench warfare on the football pitch. but, maybe we've forgotten that even moyes, on par with dyche re: the defence first mentality, gave us some great football at times. arteta? baines/pienaar? i feel like some of us imagine that if dyche had ronaldinho, arjen robben, rivaldo or whoever that he wouldn't play them because they don't track back... i think that's nonsense. let's remember that dyche has managed three clubs, and only two really because his time at watford had complications. frankly, we don't know what dyche would do given the opportunity to improve our squad over time--there was a ceiling at burnley, one that only got lower when their new owners came in. will he always go for hardworking players first and foremost? probably, yes. but, being hardworking and being technically able ("skillful") are not mutually exclusive... on the contrary, the former can lead to, and often complements, the latter. what i'm saying is, i think given time, dyche will likely improve us given a supportive context from the owners (whoever they may be lol). i'll finish on this.... dyche got burnley into europe, if he can get us back into europe then (for the time being) i'll take that over nice possession stats and gushing compliments from pundits and neutrals. sorry for the essay comment, just wanted to make the case for sean dyche (never thought i'd say that lol). well in lads, always enjoy the podcast and appreciate the effort you put in week in, week out. UTFT p.s. the mo salad klopp fall out 😙👌 que magnifique!

Haha! He is annoyingly a "high performance podcast" kind of fella, isn't he? Agree with everything you say though, especially how he got the derby spot on - on paper, it's only three points the same as any other. But the win and how they did it makes it much more than that. Not seen the team do that to Liverpool for years (probably the last Goodison win). And I'm not even sure what progressive football is - was that Martinez? Because once he got his style through the team was hopeless and so boring to watch (he got 47 points wiht Lukaku up front and peak Coleman, Baines, Jagielka, and young Stones in defence). Getting results will do for me every time.

Cant stand that numbty chattin shite...progression FFS ...We need stability, not more experiments and end up in the championship or worse....ifya dont like the style of footy, dont go....we're up shit creek without an owner, rudderless....Dyche has done a remarkable job given the circumstance....crawl before you can walk....we dont need negative people at our club...as the Irish lad said, give your head a wobble UTFT 💙💙👊👊
