100% was one of the best on and off the pitch.

Had the privilege of meeting him 4 times when I was a kid. My first Everton hero and an absolute class act of a human being. Never failed to make us blues smile until the sad news of today. I feel for his family and friends to lose such a special man. This one hits hard but we'll always have a plethora of great memories of the great man. Not all heroes wear capes! RIP Super Kev! 💙

It has hit everyone really hard, hasn’t it. Some lovely comments about him though, and that must have been wonderful meeting him a few times as a kid 💙

He really lifted us when we were down and out and had very little to cheer about. Such a big loss to everyone.

Absolutely devastating news to wake up to. Kevin Campbells status as a legend and icon for Everton cannot be underestimated. Without him, Everton would have gone the way of a Sheff Wed or like how Sunderland are now. He was my first Everton hero growing up. Legend. RIP Super Kev

Super Kev was one of those rare people who's mere presence lifted everyone lucky enough to meet him, I hope at BMD we have a legends tribute area and Super Kev is given his fitting place upfront. Sad day for all football.

Sad, sad news..... Apart from being a great player while he was at Everton. Loved the way when he was asked in recent years about Everton getting relegated he always said positive things and the belief we wouldn't be relegated and he was right.. RIP KC

So sad to hear the news ,Kevin Cambell,came to Everton when we were struggling at the wrong end of the table his goals and his personality lifted the club and we survived, he continued to excel with not only his goals but his personality Mr sunshine on and off the pitch,God bless Kev a TRUE LEGEND at No 9.

Lovely words guys. Gutted Arsenal fan here. Had the honour of meeting the king a couple of times. Asked him about his greatest memories of his career expecting him to say winning the league, cup winners cup with Arsenal. He said it was great to win trophies with his boyhood club but his loan stint where he helped Everton stay up was up there with anything he'd achieved. RIP Super Kev.
