My grandad watched this World Cup live, going to a number of games. He watched Eusebio in the flesh and said he was world class, by far the best player he’s seen play live. Eusebio truely was an icon and may be rest in peace🙏🏻

@@heldersufiano2816 Eusebio is another ‘con’ job that has been perpetuated for years. In his younger days he showed tremendous ability but never lived up to his early promise. Those in the know recognise that Eusebio blew out, even before the 1966 World Cup in which he was the highest scorer. Four of his goals in that tournament were scored against the brave little North Koreans - but not until he assured himself that they didn’t kick! In the semi-final against England he wandered around taking corners, free-kicks and throw-ins, with skipper Mario Coluna admonishing him to go out and win the game for Portugal. Great sportsman though.

I think that Portugal is the only European country that does not hate Russia or that have a good relationship with them. .
