Nice grind... that's skill. I can hardly wait to hear this saw run. I personally like the ramhorn pipe the bests. It fills the opening and works. It looks professional on a saw, like it should be there. I like the UFO pipes too. It's gonna be a runner for certain. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙

Ramping the piston to get more transfer duration is a good thing to try for power if it works bonus it’s better than wrecking a cylinder pistons are cheaper good video bud hope your doing well and the family🪵🪵👍👍

Thank you so much for these 394 videos dude. I'm actually converting a 394 to a 95. My customer brought me the newer style cylinder. But this series of videos are gold. Obviously they can be interpreted to other saws. If I'm being honest, you, & Buckin' got me into saws. I dunno, I just can't thank you enough. It's an awesome hobby. And a guy can make a few dollars sometimes eh 🤟🏼

So you are incapable of learning how to do anything? You just bumble through everything you ever ever do, and if you ever manage to accomplish something, its only because your lord decided to just do it for you? Strange outlook, but to each their own.

I still havent raised transfers on a saw. They were always high enough. I dont do extensive machine work that would lower the transfers alot so i have yet to find a reason to raise them in a work saw. If i would want more compression i would cut popup piston and cut the base for that because it does not lower the transfers as much as cutting the squish band and base.

Hey tinman, what about angling the transfers to create swirl? Is that desirable? I’m thinking it could be done mostly with ramp angle and a degree or two difference front to rear on the opening to assist directional momentum to the transfer charge. I know the general flow in the cylinder is towards the exhaust so maybe that’s the primary factor that would overtake any transfer work? I really don’t know. I did think of you yesterday seeing a NOS 3120 get posted locally. I think it’s gone already unfortunately. I still kick myself for not getting a 395 for $500 that popped up recently even though I would never use it besides once for saying I did.

Hey Tin. Much love from North Carolina. I have a new 562 that I want to perk up a little. Would a pipe mod and maybe smoother ports do it? No real removal of materials, just polishing what is there? Just wondering. Hope you have a great day 🤙🤙

Smaller saws tolerate less timing so the best thing to do is stay conservative.
