Porting A Jonsered 2071 2171 and Trouble Shoot Issues

Here we dig back in to the poor running Jonsered chainsaw. It was acting like an air leak and case getting hot. No Air leaks found so back in we go.

Good call on getting a different crank. Nice build too - she sounds rowdy 👍👍. Looking forward to seeing it cut at the wood pile...

I like the idea of keeping the gasket the way you did. I'm not sure how much I trust liquid gasket to hold up over time. I'm glad you figured it out and I'm looking forward to seeing how it cuts now. 😎👍

Fantastic showing of all the processes, man you really dig into the saws deep, about two weeks ago i bought a Logan lathe model 200 running condition, got it loaded on the trailer and wanted to put casters on the legs for easy unloading, got that done and was in a rush due to a huge storm arrival well i put a strap on the front of the unit for security and tied off to the front of the trailer, black clouds overhead anyhow i was getting rid of the slack on the strap pushing the lathe towards the back of the trailer And my stupid self in a rush forgot i unhooked the trailer from the truck Well we did a wheelie the lathe and myself went flying the strap broke, i was okay but the lathe landed on the ramp then the ground and suffered damage, talk about totally stupid (me) took an hour to pick it up with a cherry picker by myself and covered it up with a tarp then huge rain what a nightmare. Way cool you got that saw sounding so good have fun

Dude. So cool you got a lathe! It’s a game changer. I had issues with mine off the trailer but not that bad. Next get some shars tooling and some uhmw rod and you’ll be all set. Make sure to level the lathe and all that. Man Time!
