I took delivery of my 992 C4S on Oct. 15, and in 4-1/2 months have put 6,000+ (s)miles on it. All wheel steering, PASM, upgraded lights, premium pkg, sport exhaust, guards red w/tach and sport Chrono red, as are the seat belts, etc., etc. I have driven it in sunshine, POURING rain, snow and ice, w/dedicated winter tires. Not much to complain about, trust me. I love the new PDK, faster than stink in shifting. I could not be happier with the car. And great post, Stef! Ciao!

Once upon a time, my garage in Seattle, Washington was graced by BOTH a 2004 Carrera 4S and a 1964 356 Cabriolet. 40 years of Porsche perfection! Alas, I found myself driving the C4S way too fast on Washington and Oregon rural roads, and sold it after 7 years, Bur, oh my, what a magnificent machine it was.

Even though they've gone to the 3 litre TT flat-6, the sound and the performance is still there, and it is a great car as well

Porsche actually quote a 0 to 60 time of 3.6 seconds on their UK webpage. So imagine what the new 992, 911 Turbo S is going to be like when that behemoth takes to the roads :-))... I shall have to head to Caffeine and Machine as it's not to far from where I live. :-))... Great video Stef. Nice to see a reviewer on the new 992 Carrera S4 who takes this Porsche for what it is and nothing more and nothing less.

The Zanzibarbarian I believe Porsche rates this car at 3.2 0-60mph. The C4S. With the sport Chrono package and PDK. But like Stef says, I’ve seen testing of this car...I think one was Motor Trend, and some private folks, who tested it repeatedly at 3.0 0-60mph.

@@ronstopfer2315 - I done a boo boo. You're right about figures. I was quoting to 62mph too and not just to 60mph. Regardless. Stef's done a great video. He's tested it as this car and has not tried to compare it to earlier models. All in all, this S4 is an awesome machine and the safest 911 Porsche has ever produced. Would I buy one? Absolutely. Could I buy one? Nope. I couldn't even afford one wheel/tyre combo with my pension :-((... C'est la vie, sa the Froggies say. C'est la vie.

I saw one of these a few weeks ago in a Aqua blue Colour driving along in Sydney and I was blown away 🤯

I completely agree with you. Considering the 992 4S is a powerful and very reactive sports car, the overall comfort is 😂very decent indeed. I spent half a day driving this same model and enjoyed every minute of it 😎

"It handles like it's on rails". Proceeds to lose the arse end coming off a roundabout. I've done EXACTLY that myself in my 992 4S - Came off a roundabout onto a dual carriageway and gave it the beans when it was a bit wet and it wriggled and squirmed like mad until it hooked up. Stupid by me, but that Flat Six just makes you want to do make a racket and feel the kick in your back.

CK ROY I initially had money down on a 2019 Cayman GTS. Wonderful car. But I like the additional interior room of the 911, the little back seat. Holds a beer cooler nicely, throw in overnight bags, go to the store and buy groceries...which keeps cool in the air conditioned interior, and not melting in the trunks. It’s a bit more utilitarian and a bit more roomy....but please, Porsche, do NOT make the 911 cars any larger!!!!!!!!!

Very good car!! All is perfect except the back (it is bit huge) and the stick for shaving 😁

Mine is specced with the sports design kit, the rear number plate is raised about 5 inches higher up the bumper. This gives the back end a more balanced look and looks less bulbous.

M B I got used to the PDK shifter real quick. It becomes second nature in a short period of time. Works phenomenally!

No doubt the Porsche is a better car from an engineering standpoint, but shows how game changing and amazing the new Corvette C8 base is, (o-60 2.9 sec) costing only 60,000 USD

Driven this car. Amazing performance. My 981 BS with PSE sounds better. Porsche, there really is no substitute

You didn't seem too excited about this one.... Personally I prefer the 4c

Richard Jones it is a heck of a car. Stupidly fast and agile, sticks to the road like paint, very low, very wide, the largest 911 tires I’ve ever seen. Even the driver and passenger sits lower than my 911 Turbo, which lowers the center of gravity. They even moved the mounting points of the engine forward. Unbelievable car!

More confidence driving it hard for sure. The 2wd can snap more. This is more forgiving. Both models are awesome though

This is a truly incredible car, however, I'd take a Giulia QV over this or pretty much any other car out there. With exception to perhaps a Ferrari model. There is nothing wrong with any Porsche product, I've owned 3 of them myself, but the Giulia with 505 bhp and that terrific Italian design and styling, it can't be beat.

Hi Stef, I normally look forward to your videos but this was more like a Porsche advert - always remember you are showcasing their gear so don’t thank them too much - people expect you to be unbiased and honest (not saying you are not by the way!), but remember how much you bring to their brand and how many new people you showcase this car to. I have heard Porsche roll out the ‘analogue dials’ line so many times - in all honesty, they are crap, digital dashes are much better hence why the taycan has one - it is only a matter of time for the rest of the line to get them. If Porsche don’t keep the 911 as their ultimate by adding such features, people will stop buying the new ones and the interest in the older ones will keep growing. I personally think the new 911 is getting a bit too big for the UK roads and has lost a bit of the ‘edge’ that earned the older cars their fierce reputations... just my 2p though! The real shame is that as a daily, the best car they make is the new cayman gts (for UK roads at least!).

Ron Stopfer hi Ron, appreciate the response. I could never gel with the 911 992 personally, but good to hear you like yours. I still think the cayman is a better car, I know that’s controversial but having driven lots of 911 over the years and recently driven both previous and latest gen gt4 I am really impressed with them as a drivers car and especially given the list price. I would go spider though as that is such a beautiful car, irrespective of cost or budget it’s a great steer! Enjoy the c4s, sure you will and stay safe!

DJAZTHETAFREQ Standard Racing Yellow, or better yet, optional ($11,3K) Speed Yellow, when clean are outstanding. The PDK shifter rocks also.

I know it drives awesome but inside looks like a BMW. Too much electric and the gear shifter is not classic. Well I stick to my 718 ;)

sorry but....not feelin it for the 992 body.
