@@nishthagupta1357 Like OP said, in THEIR school the popular ones were nice. When I was in HS it was similar. There were "infamous" popular kids that were good looking but problematic, and we had the nice popular ones that were smart, in AP classes, club leaders, etc.

Cassie and Jess literally being the best characters in the movie. If it would have focused on them more, it would have been amazing. It's really eye opening how they are those who Bianca shut down from her life, because she thought they were taking advantage of her, but they were the only ones who supported her for the entire time, never belittling her and always being willing to stay with her because of who she really is. The only characters in the movie who were always supporting and caring without compromises.

The movie is so different from the book. For starters, Bella Thorne's character doesn't exist, Bianca lives with her alcoholic dad, who accidentally hits her with a beer bottle during a fight with Wesley, Toby was a gentleman who wasn't using Bianca to get to her friends, and Bianca and Wesley sleep together a lot, whereas they just kiss in the movie. I like them both, in different ways.

I relate so much to the character Bianca. We are a group of 3 and my other two friends are famous and known for their beauty and style. But I am the unknown one. But honestly we never developed ant kind of jealousy between us my friends always help me with my self confidence and always try to make myself better. Glad to have them. And I always have this in mind that I don't need to stand in the crowd to be visible, I will be visible to the eyes of the person who really wants to know the inner me.

The more i watched this recap, the more i realized I'm the duff in our group... I'm less pretty, I'm not very skinny, and nobody knows me. If they do know me, im known as the know-it-all, straight A student. My friends on the other hand are all popular, and know literally everybody. Our group in general loves gossip, but out of 5 people in my friend group, only 1 ever shares any with me. Claiming that "Everybody thought you already knew", which i know is not true. I have no other friends, so its not like i could drop the majority of them, and even if i did, the small social status i have currently would def ruin the rest of high school. SORRY FOR VENTING! I can't share this with anyone else, so if yall have any ideas on what i could do about it, PLEASE comment on this, I will read it sooner or later. Thank you!!!

Jess and Casey went out of there way to delete the video of her despite the fact that Bianca cut ties with them for a bit. Yes they both are super attractive but they are true friends.

12:50 The "man in his forties" sweater guy is about as obviously a 32 year old actor dressed up as a stereotypical middle aged man as Bianca is a 28 year old actress (Her?) dressed up as a high school kid. Indeed if you said he was younger than her who wouldn't believe you? "Hollywood age casting" of young characters is common enough, but one thing Hollywood doesn't lack for is aging actors who haven't given up; so it seems strange they had to resort to casting someone who looks ridiculously young, especially in a scene where he has to be put so closely opposite an actress who really stretched credibility with how young she was being cast. (It's like the director half secretly wanted the character to be a handsome hipster instead of what was written or something.) The juxtaposition of casting old with the far more common casting young can look jarring. (Only in rare cases, like Karate Kid Part 3 with Daniel-san and Terry Silver, can it work.) I don't know; I used to be an actor (relegated to this kind of small parts quite often) so I notice these things a lot!

The lingerie method makes sense because you need to look in the mirror, but not a good idea if you’re not trying to live like her, worldly

This movie is old. Jess and Casey were 19/21 and Bianca and Wesley were like 23/25. I think the oldest people were bianca and Wesley 26/27, which is probably why those two were the only ones who sexualized themselves.

I didn't ask myself ,,Why am I ugly?" and tried to focus on whether I'm a good person or not because at the end of the day that's what mattered to me a lot.
