This might be the one. My biggest complaint for the previous ones (especially the ones with a plastic bowl) is cleaning. This one looks like it’s a cinch to clean. Especially when you have to clean it the next day…with all that old oil you have to…no NEED to clean. Worth the money. A lot of money. But it’s better built than the previous failures. And I’ve tried them all. I’m buying one from ABC’s GMA Deals And Steals this morning

Looks great. Can't wait. We've had a similar pot for years from Lee Valley Tools, but it's getting worn out after thousands of popping sessions. This is the best way to make popcorn!

I'm curious about Popsmith but I do put all the pieces of Whirleypop into the dishwasher. I'm allergic to dish soap so everything goes into the dishwasher in my kitchen.

Does it have a steam outlet where as the popcorn will be crisp?

Yes it does. It has a smiley face vent in the lid to release steam and prevent popcorn from getting chewy.

Even distribution of heat; wide blades for turning over the seeds...this is going to make an excellent coffee bean roaster.

Is it heavy-duty/weight. You mentioned All Clad in style. I just want to be sure it's not a lightweight aluminum feeling pan.

Did you ever consider using two short handles, vs one long and one short? Once you have two the long ones seems unnecessary to me.

You make a case for a much superior popper than the whirly pop. The only reason why I have a whirly pop, is that the company offers a 25 year warranty! You have only a one year warranty. I liked the fact, that you can put the entire popper in the dishwasher and the fact that this can be used on any burner, including induction burners. If I remember right, so can the other popper. It may be, that the temperature of the induction burner has to be set at medium, instead of medium high. I can double check this tomorrow and then I could email you on your website. I emailed you on your website earlier, because I had some additional questions. I know about Wabash Valley Farms and how the whirly pop started. However, I am interested in how Pop Smith got started. I know that there was a kick starter video for crowd funding. The Wabash Valley Farms started, is the grandfather of the current CEO, Don Posniak, hopefully I’m spelling her name right her grandfather started farming back in the late 1950s. That’s when Wabash Valley Farms came into place. About 15 or 16 years later back in 1973 or 74, his son, Mike Williams started farming the land continuing to grow popcorn. And in 1980, he patented the first whirly pop, because he started growing popcorn first for commercial use and then for residential use. he took an existing stove top popper at the time, and made it better. I love clad cookware myself, because I am a culinary connoisseur! However, I think that might’ve slipped their minds back in 1980. I bet that you know popcorn farmers in Iowa and Missouri, or is it Idaho in Missouri? what I heard about farmers, is that they just love a tinker, which is how the whirly pop came about as well. He had to rent space at the Chicago Home and houseware show. And that therefore, the popper took off ever since! I was also wondering if the popper comes in a red color, because I love red color! Whirly Pop has a stove top popper with a patented stirring mechanism. And that there are gears that which intern, turn the mechanism inside. does your popper have gears? My particular popper, has metal gears, even though there are some with nylon gears, that which can easily strip. The middle gears are much better! Also, where is the Whorley pop made and that where is the pop Company out of? I wish I would’ve known about your product five or six months ago. But once again, that the issue I have, is only the one year warranty that which you offer, versus the whirly pop, that which offers a 25 year warranty. That is my only Reservation and concern. Other than that, I love what you have to offer! I think both you and Wabash Valley Farms are the greatest! The whirly pop I have is stainless steel, but it has an aluminum core, particularly on the kettle. I don’t know if the lid itself is stainless steel. But it certainly feels like it is . If I’m asking so many questions and making a long winded comment, it’s because I am on a very limited income, due to having multiple disabilities. Furthermore, I am blind that which is just one of those disabilities. I know aluminum cannot go in the dishwasher. I learned that the hard way. Aluminum will rust and corrode, stainless steel will not! So that part I get, once again, what’s stopping me, is that you only offer a one year warranty. I thank you in advance for your understanding and I appreciate what you’re doing.

Yes! I am very familiar that the whirly pop does make a stainless steel format or version. But that the problem I’m told, is that the stainless steel is plated between aluminum. And that therefore you cannot wash the kettle or the popper itself in the dishwasher. Even though the popper itself is not aluminum and is all stainless steel, the issue is you have a wooden crank and a wooden handle. The wooden parts tend to work their way loose if you put them in the dishwasher. As for the kettle itself, that cannot go in the dishwasher because at the bottom of the pot on the outside or kettle if you will, you have a small indentation or lip, that where the aluminum is exposed. Stainless steel in itself will not rust or corrode in the dishwasher But aluminum on the other hand will. The only thing I like about the whirly pop, is that 25 year warranty something pop Smith must have if they want to compete. Just having a product that is just 100% stainless steel is not enough in this industry. You need to have a warranty equal to your competitors! I know this, because I love clad quality cookware. And even though it’s clad quality cookware, the one year warranty is just what is turning me away from purchasing a pop Smith, if they had a 25 year warranty like the whirly pop I definitely would purchase one no questions asked! I have a stainless steel whirly pop myself and I love it! I just can’t put it in the dishwasher. Hope that this is helpful to you.

Totally, it looks effortless, right? Effortless requires a lot of effort indeed: This premium piece of kitchen equipment is durable, stylish, and thoughtfully designed with premium stainless steel and a multi-layered metal bottom (which means no kernel goes unpopped or burnt). It's also compatible with all stovetops, dishwasher safe, and modeled after the exact mechanism movie theaters use to make fresh, piping hot popcorn. 🤌 Hope that helps!
