Poor Things is my favorite movie of the year! Glad you liked it. I actually don't like sex in movies, and while the sex scenes weren't my favorite scenes of the movie it didn't stop me from loving it. Also, the amount of sex and nude scenes in the movie was not as extensive as some people make it out to be. I'd say it is 1 or maybe 2% of the movie. In regards to its best picture chances, I actually have no idea. I hope it will, but I don't expect it. I also really want Emma Stone to win, but I refuse to predict her, because I don't want to get disappointed 🙃. But everything in this movie was exceptional. I thought especially the relationship between Godwin and Bella was very sweet 😊

Yeah, I recorded this immediately after watching the film. So it was super fresh on the mind. And having it been a few days now, the sex scenes isn’t what stuck in my mind. What resonated days later for me was just the film’s creativity and Stone transformative performance. Thanks for sharing!! It’s nice to hear that the sex scenes didn’t faze you. Gives me hope that Poor Things might have a real solid chance for BP. 🙂 Cheers!

is everyone dumb, this looks good but the content is disturbing .The word child or child like should never be in the same word as sex.everyone is drinking the oolaide.

@@theoutabodies5653 It is true that she starts with the brain of a child, but she grows up much faster than a regular person. You cannot really compare her with a real person, because a concept like this doesn't really exist in real life, but she is past her childlike phase during the sex scenes.

Yes Ryan i have seen it. and it's like trying to sleep with a hot chick that got the clap. This os the same man that made a movie about brother and sister having sex with each other Dog tooth. Yall getting caught up with how pretty the world is.There is some ugly parts under. molestation and other creepy things. Most the main stream media outlets promoting it with out having seen it. Its a sick movie , when the sex scene go down try to remember she has a mind of a child still.Don't seem so hot now.Don't give me that she grew up crap. There is no magic in this world only science and there is no way she can grow that fast.Yall need to wake up!!

It will be very divisive, may be too daring snd artsy for Oscar voters. Not the mainstream crowd-pleaser that wins BP or even actress.

I saw some movie review episode with Perri Nemiroff and 3 other guys I don't really know or recognize. 1 of those guys were balking at this movie and called a lot of the sex scenes "pornographic". Are they? Like gratuitous and extreme? He was saying that he wouldn't be the least bit surprised of this movie "fell off a cliff or the face of the earth" when it hits theatrically.

Multiple graphic sex scenes, multiple frontal nudity of both men and women. Not typical crowd-pleaser that Oscar voters go for so prolly won’t win above-the-line categories.

Tony, I think I remember you saying you were not a fan of EEAAO. Regardless, it was definitely emotional to many (me included 🫣) In terms of Poor Things…its very much what you’d come to expect from Lanthimos. Super outside-the-box. Hope you end up liking it though! Or hope you find something this year to root for?
