One suggestion for the poop kit- I carry a super small container of Dr. Bronner’s soap and a bidet. Wash your pooper and wash your hands after. Minimizes the number of poop tickets you need too.

Dude, less band aids!! Add a few alcohol/antiseptic wipes. AND thanks for showing the Toaks 1100 inside the Primus windscreen. I wanted to get that but wasn’t sure how it would fit! Great stuff, you always crack me up and I always enjoy improving my kit!

I have a similar sized First Aid Kit, but I keep it dedicated to first aid supplies. My goal is to not go into it, unless there’s an emergency. I’m Wilderness First Aid trained, so I carry a few extra things to fix a cut bigger than what a bandaid can handle. I keep a ziplock with repair items in my ditty bag. Mostly the same as what you have, plus a spare o-ring for a Sawyer filter, and a couple different sized zip ties.

I use the term "system" rather than "kit"....Only b/c it's an inside joke with my wife. There is a particular Backpacking KZreadr that I watch that says "System" for all of his camping stuff. So when camping my wife and I say "system" for everything ridiculous thing in our backpacks.... "hand me the food system, I need to get out the cutlery system while you set up the sleep system, and then we will drink out of the hydration system"...etc.

👍 I'd add an extra full size lighter to the first aid kit in a snack baggie with about 10 to 20 ft of jute twine and maybe a ferro rod for emergency fire making. As far as poop kits, I need a deuce and a half with the kind of #2 problems I have.💩😵

Cook kit: if you had a Windmaster stove instead of that dinky BRS thing, you wouldn't need that monster wind screen, haha! (kidding, kind of). Poop kit: Everyone should pack out their wipes for sure, and preferably their tp as well, so an extra quart sized baggie in the poop kit should be mandatory to bag up the wipey things. No one mentions this; is everyone just "burying" their toilet paper? Gross. In our dry climate out west, tp does NOT go away for a very long time, so when you poo in the woods here, bury the poo, cover it well and mark it with a stick, and carry the rest out. It'd be great if you all famous-types on KZread would mention this. Thanks!

Do you boil your meals in regular Quart Freezer Zip Lock bags? I have considered this but am unsure about the melting and transfer of plastics to the meal. Please advise.

I am allergic to poison ivy. So I also keep some castile soap in my kit so I can wash the oils from the poison ivy off me if I know I get into some. It's come in handy more than once.

I suggest removing your tent repair materials from your first aid kit. If someone less knowledgeable than you needs to use your kit (perhaps on you), they might assume that because it's in the first aid kit, it's for use on people. Toss it in a tent pocket or your diddy bag.
