Aww thank you. It was a nice walk around the lake. To be truthful, there was a lot of birds that I could have filmed near the cafe but there was a lot of people too, so it’s always a bit awkward 🙂 Trev

Hi Trev and Sue, this looks a nice site and good that there is a Country Park adjacent to it. A lovely walk around the lake Trev nice to see the ducks swimming around. Wow that frost, can’t believe it froze your drain pipes. Will be watching out for that with ours, thank you for sharing x

We had to put them in a bin bag in the shower to thaw the pipes out but no harm done 😃🚐 Trev

Nice caravanning park. The lake area looks lovely, great for walks or just to enjoy the view. Your little trip with Bob n Jenny was very nice to waych.

I am just editing the footage from Deers Glade. It’s another very nice campsite near to Cromer but we didn’t actually go into Cromer this time. Instead we just relaxed and stayed on the quiet campsite 😃🚐 Trev

Another great review thank you…. Always interested to see what walks are available and suitable for dogs👍 Oh and good news - conversion of my van has begun 🥳👏👏🚐 Hopefully, catch you out on the road some day soon.🍻

Nice lake. I like that there’s wildlife there. Great facilities. Wish the sites had a little privacy or some shade trees. I guess you can’t have everything, right? Have a great weekend 😊💕

Yes, it's not the prettiest campsite but we did like it. The campsite was only set up 30 years ago following the closure of the Derbyshire coal mines. I am sure it was a very dreary place before the Country Park was developed and the lake created. Thanks for watching 🙂 Trev

I would love to learn about the modern industrial history of the north. It’s not something we have in East Anglia but we do have a strong farming tradition 🙂 Trev

We have stayed there a couple of times and it is a beautiful site, well maintained and clean facilities as you would expect, £102 for 3 nights on a serviced pitch is not bad either, we have booked Cayton Village site for 13 nights starting 22nd July and my god it is eye watering what you have to pay now, on a premium pitch with EHU, grey waste and water with a picnic bench and BBQ £56.46 per night however, it is our summer hols so we sort of didn't mind paying it as we enjoyed our stay there in 2019. Keep the vlogs coming as I watched the Deers Glade video before this one and it looks like a little gem.

Thank you Ian, we liked Poolsbrook but we had a few comments saying it looked like a carpark 🤷🏼‍♂️ we didn’t see it that way but it’s never as pretty in winter. We are off to another Club site next week, another favourite on the east coast. I agree regarding holiday and choice. I rather pay a little more and not have slimy showers full of cobwebs and bugs. I was just watching a video this morning and I'm pretty sure it was camc they were vlogging about. Didn't exactly paint them in the best light. This place looks sufficient for a night or two stop over. But it does give me the feeling of a parking lot and not really a campground. We have many of those over here. They just aren't my cup of tea. The facilities in this one look to be pretty well kept. Which is nice. I don't know what 102 pounds would be in dollars, but that doesn't sound too bad for 3 nights and hookups. Oh no! Stinks your hoses froze up. Safe travels!!

Yes you are correct the club is getting bad press from a lot of its members. This campground doesn’t look at its best in winter and I agree that it could do with a bit of a facelift to prevent it from looking like a carpark. 3 nights equate to $122US which is in the mid to upper price range in the UK and you must be a member costing $71US per year to get this price. I worked at Wherstead, the HQ of Eastern Electricity. I didn’t have much to do with Cliff Quay before it was shut down but did get to visit some of the CEGB sites during privatisation in the 1980s. The beginning of the end for a first class industrial sector in my opinion from which we are currently feeling the effects 🤷🏼‍♂️ Safe travels 🚐 Trev
