In Feb we took our MH to Bradford to have a Protec cover fitted. From there we drove to Chatsworth. I’d forgotten how awful the journey was until I watched this video. I’m glad it’s not just us!

I really like the land rover defenders - built very well - can handle many if not all terrains and conditions - I need to get one : ) ......... I think it is very customer friendly - i.e. there is camp site personnel that greet patrons as they arrive - and assists them - very professional : ) ........ Wow : o ...... Very nice - clean - peaceful : ) ........ Thank you for taking US all along for the ride : ) ......... Peace on Earth : ) ......

It's probably all the trees that muffled any noise at Kendal. How lovely to have the grounds at Chatsworth to stroll around. You go to some really lovely looking sites.

I was born in Yorkshire so we went there a lot on school trips , great memories pretending we were lords and ladies having our packed lunch on the grass by the house lucky Poppy & Tara :)

Not windy but very rainy today though.

Had to laugh, glad it’s not just me, I get lost every time I go I just take a deep breath and hope I get through it, even my sat nav gets confused. Never been to Chatsworth but viewing your video looks lovely and think I’d enjoy a visit.

Great video, I love Chatsworth, especially at Christmas time when they decorate the house and open the rooms to theme. I thought entering the Park through the walled garden gate was like a page out of the book ‘The Secret Garden’, love Poppies little face when you talk to her , enjoy Saturday with your friends x

This is a lovely site, the only trouble we had was that the sat nav took us to Chatsworth house and not the site so that's something to be aware of, as the site is the other side.

Enjoyed this very informative video Bob......and it was one of the reasons we ended up booking a pitch there over the Christmas period this year. Really looking forward to it to be honest. Was really surprised that most of the sites that are open all year seemed to be fully booked for Christmas....so looking forward to a good atmosphere on site. Have gained a lot of knowledge from your video's over the last few months, which has been invaluable in our first year of motorhoming. Thanks for all you do.

The garden centre restaurant have a super carvery, always go when we are at Chatsworth site.

6:30 there is now with the new A555 relief road, come off the M60 at J3 A34 Cheadle/ Wilmslow, then pick up the left turn for the A555 then join the A6 at the south side of Hazel Grove, although even that way is busy already. Oh and Frith not firth ;)

Omg this like Dewsbury Market parking on a Saturday afternoon. I go to get away. Everyone to their own lol

Hey folks. You can avoid Stockport by heading towards Manchester airport Terminal 1 and then take the A555 - a new road that bypasses Stockport and takes you to Hazel Grove.

We’re staying at Kendal Club Site in September, it’ll be our first trip out this year and to also to Kendal.. I’ve read lots of reviews and they all sound quite positive 😊

It’s getting be on it with the prices no wonder people are going to Scotland

Avoid Stockport.. go to Manchester airport and take a555 road to Buxton ( it's quite a new rd)

Does everyone that use the Caravan site get a key to go in Chatsworth Gardens please and is there a charge? That’s a great walk for the dogs.

Everyone who stays at Chatsworth Caravan and Motorhome Club Site gets a key to the grounds which are free to walk round, but there's a charge to go in the house and gardens.

Hi Bob and Jenny, how long did it take you to get from Kendal to Chatsworth. We are thinking of going lake district , and wondered whether to do it in one day or stop off halfway

Don't really see Chatsworth as a stopover, too far over from the Motorways, you'd be better at Poolesbrooke Country Park, just off the M1. Kendal to Chatsworth was 3 hours with a stop.

Bob Earnshaw our problem is wife work in schools I am retired make it difficult, I look for site where they charge for two,people not one bit of saving there
