Polio vac for all London children

Poliomyelitis, London, New York and Israel
All children aged 1 to 9 in London to be offered a dose of polio vaccine
Last UK case, 1984
8,000 people developed paralysis every year
www.gov.uk/government/organis...
www.gov.uk/government/news/al...
Vaccine-derived poliovirus in sewage in north and east London
Genetic diversity (RNA virus)
Most are vaccine-like virus
A few have sufficient mutations to be classified as vaccine derived poliovirus (VDPV2),
behaves more like naturally occurring ‘wild’ polio
Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI)
Targeted inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) booster dose,
offered to all children between the ages of 1 and 9 in all London boroughs
This will ensure a high level of protection from paralysis and help reduce further spread of the virus.
The programme will start with the areas affected,
where the poliovirus has been detected and vaccination rates are low
It’s important all children aged 1 to 9 - even if up to date with their vaccinations - accept this vaccine when offered
Beckton sewage treatment works first
Now also,
Barnet, Brent, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Waltham Forest
A total of 116 PV2 isolates identified in 19 sewage samples
Poliomyelitis
assets.publishing.service.gov...
www.cdc.gov/vaccines/vpd/poli...
An acute illness
Follows invasion through the gastro intestinal tract by polio virus
Virus replicates in the gut
Has a high affinity for nervous tissue
Spread occurs via the bloodstream
Retrograde axonal transport to the central nervous system
Often infection is clinically inapparent
Symptoms may range in severity
Fever to
Headache,
Gastrointestinal disturbance,
Malaise
Stiffness of the neck and back
Aseptic meningitis
Paralysis.
Ratio of inapparent to paralytic infections
1000 to 1 in children
75 to 1 in adults
Transmission
Contact with the faeces or pharyngeal secretions
Polio virus replicates long periods in GI tract
Can be excreted for three to six weeks in faeces
Can be excreted for two weeks in saliva
Incubation period
Three to 21 days
When the infection was endemic
Paralytic disease is caused by naturally occurring ‘wild virus’
Live attenuated vaccine, (OPV - Sabin)
Virus retains the potential to revert to a virulent form,
that can rarely cause paralytic disease
Vaccine-associated paralytic polio (VAPP)
VAPP cases can occur rarely where live attenuated vaccines are used
OPV not used in UK since 2004
(US, not since 2000)
Inactivated polio vaccine (i.m. injected) for routine immunisation
tetanus/diphtheria/inactivated polio vaccine
diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis/inactivated polio vaccine
Recommended at two, three and four months of age,
can be given at any stage from two months up to ten years of age

@@Geoplanetjane Most polio was from the vaccine. Cutter incident. Edit to my original comment, due to Norma Baker's and other replies below. I'm aware of the hieroglyph depicting what appears to be a hobbled or short leg, which could indicate polio or several other things. My main point though is that modern notions of "polio" and its spread came from synergisms with multiple factors, such as massive pollution with mercury, organochloride pesticides like DDT, immune modulators like diethylstilbestrol put in milk, large sugar consumption in summer months, and vaccine derived variants (eg Cutter incident). This gave rise to novel, and more severe, manifestations of polio. Most of the iron lung cases, which were not actually that common or widespread, were secondary to vaccine. On foreign military bases where men were sprayed down their sleeves and collars with DDT, similar neurological issues developed and did not transmit to the local populations despite being in close proximity with them. It has been disputed whether the polio virus alone, through means of normal transmission, can do any major harm without a body that is already poisoned, nutrient deficient, or otherwise weakened in some way.

Supposedly, doctors were told to be on the lookout for children presenting with polio-like symptoms at the end of last year (it had aligned with the initially-planned roll out of the vaccines for children, around November). In reality, it was to prepare them to see Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Apparently the only way to detect polio in humans is through cerebral-spinal fluid, feces test, or a throat swab. Let's keep in mind that Guillain-Barre Syndrome is a listed, known, side effect of the vaccines. It could be legitimate Polio, and some cases COULD be Guillain-Barre, or it could be mostly one or the other... who knows -- just be aware.

Fasting is the best thing to do with an infection, or beforehand to get your immune system into top shape. Some of the many benefits of fasting and a lower carb whole food diet on the immune system, blood pressure, blood sugar and anti-aging, all backed up by clinical data: Fribrosis is reversed The hunger hormone ghrelin lowers over time with extended fasting and rise from dieting Thymus stem cells are regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria and viruses by the immune system. Blood pressure is quickly and dramatically lowered, which is very important for a good outcome with the current pandemic. Fasting increases nitric oxide, which has manifold postive effects like reducing arterial plaque. Weight loss from fasting only loses10% lean tissue and 90% fat compared to the typical 25% lean tissue and 75% fat lost when calorically restricting for long periods. Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body. Vitamin D plasma levels are increased, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy! Blood sugar and insulin are lowered, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job. Ideal blood sugar is around 80. Some viruses activate glycolosis (the release of sugar in the body) and clinically it has been shown that decreasing glucose metabolism in the body weakens the influenza virus. Is fasting just the same as caloric restriction? No! Dieting increases the hunger hormone ghrelin while fasting decreases it and has many other health benefits! kzread.info/dash/bejne/pYqgj9CinMu9fMY.html What breaks a fast? kzread.info/dash/bejne/aZWGrtV8oNvfY9I.html When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell which are used to produce organelles and proteins. This means the mechanisms needed by viruses to replicate are by and large unavailable when you are in a deeply fasted state. Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it and builds muscle! kzread.info/dash/bejne/mH6JpteccrrcZNY.html Fasts of several days will not affect short term female fertility and may increase long term fertility especially in women with PCOS. Fasts from 36-96 h actually INCREASE metabolic rate! kzread.info/dash/bejne/dJl3wcmCgpXAYZc.html The hormone Leptin is an immunomodulator that keeps the body from attacking itself and obesity causes leptin resistance. Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance and leptin levels and one day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again! Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No, it never uses mainly glucose for fuel and using glucose for fuel is very biochemically damaging! kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJplzNmGktm0qNo.html Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells. AMPK does many helpful things in the body including activating the body's antioxidant defenses. Fasting can make you gain muscle faster: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4aBmqmLqtaveco.html Deep ketosis virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body. This can offset the life threatening symptoms of viral pneumonia which effectively kills you through inflammation. This also creates BHB ketones in your body, which also help your immune system and anti-oxidative system, especially in the brain. Ketones also provide an additional energy source during infection, which is critical when trying to fight off a bug. In fact you can have as much as three times the total energy available in your blood when you are in deep ketosis, or even more. It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency and thereby making cells better able to fight off infection. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism and cancer prevention! Your body releases interferon which is also triggered by the body during viral attacks to shut down the replication ability of the surrounding cells and stop infections. After 72 hours or more fasted, your body actually recycles large numbers of immune bodies and creates new ones, rejuvenating your entire system. When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells. This kills these cells off completely. Senescent cells are responsible for the effects of aging and are the root cause of the development of cancer. If it were possible to destroy them all it would completely stop aging and cancer. That is not possible but fasting can help limit these effects by killing off many of the affected cells and limiting the future effects of aging. Fasting also releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth, helping a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers. In fact, the biochemical regulator of BDNF production is beta-hydroxybutyrate, which is the same ketone the body produces to nourish the brain while fasting. Autophagy induced by fasting even helps hair regrow. Dieters losing weight through intermittent fasting show greater reduction in waist size and increase in insulin sensitivity for the same weight lost and alternate day fasters were shown to lose fat while gaining muscle at the same time over a six month period. Fasting reverses metabolic syndrome, which is tightly correlated to Chronic Fatiguque Syndrome, high blood pressurecancer and many other chronic diseases. Fasting has been shown to increase bone marrow volume by 10% and levels of carnosine in the body in as little as a few weeks. Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level. Eating one meal a day can bring most of these benefits to a lesser degree, and adding a few entire days off from eating per week will have even more effect especially when starting to feel poorly. Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia. Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. Those with Addison's disease may also be unable to fast without liberal use of exogenous ketones, depending on severity. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness then simply break the fast and seek advice. Somehow there's been some breakthrough polio since decades ago. I remember that one of brother in law's in Spain, his partner in the architectural firm in Zaragoza Spain, somehow caught polio and ended up in a wheelchair. One of my ex husband's maternal first cousins has dealt with the effects of polio since a child in Madrid Spain. It's never completely crippled her, but her life has been a constant of surgeries. Of course I thought it was all very strange. Somebody there also told me that an extra dose of polio even if vaccinated as a kid, helps prevent recurring herpes zoster. That's one that I wouldn't mind. Exactly what the doctor says that he had recently as a booster. DPT. Diphtheria Polio and tetanus. "Triple virica" in Spain. Given to babies.

@@dylanzrim3635 It would be extremely hard to misdiagnose, in order to be placed in the lung, your lungs are not functioning. As a student nurse we all took a turn in the machine. Because our lungs functioned normally the pressure was reduced. Even with that I panicked because you cannot fight the machine. Your inhalations and exhalations must be timed with the machine. If there was a power failure most of our patients could cope for the few minutes until auxiliary power kicked in. One of our lady patients only had a 30second window which meant we had to switch to the hand pump immediately or she would die. A few years later along they invented “ rocking beds” that some patients could use and it freed them from the machine. The beds were in constant motion, rising up to a near standing position and rocking back so you were nearly standing on your head. When the bed tilts up your diaphragm drops, so you grab a breath, when it tilts back the diaphragm naturally pushes up against the lungs allowing you to exhale.

Exactly, they have spread it and done it intentionally. But fasting will ensure you don't have a bad outcome, if you do get it. We kids were terrified when told we were going to have another vaccination because it felt the needle used felt like knitting needle! Very relieved when we got this sweet drink to consume! This was in Shetland. I wonder what the oral vaccine we were given, was, as it says it was released in in 1962, which was the year we emigrated to New Zealand? Makes one wonder, were we, in the Islands, a test for a future vaccine release???

Gates helped eradicate wild type polio. There are three wild types of poliovirus (WPV) - type 1, type 2, and type 3. People need to be protected against all three types of the virus in order to prevent polio disease and the polio vaccination is the best protection. Type 2 wild poliovirus was declared eradicated in September 2015, with the last virus detected in India in 1999. Type 3 wild poliovirus was declared eradicated in October 2019. It was last detected in November 2012. Only type 1 wild poliovirus remains (in Pakistan and Afghanistan).

We got our polio vaccine in a paper pill cup - a sweet liquid . All of us were lined up , no parental permission required -.there weren't mandatory vaccines for new Borns then , and mups , saw farthers put distance between himself & kids , if dad hadn't had mumps . Same thing with measels - there were measels party's in town to which I didn't go , yet still got it . So myself should have lifelong immunity - my MD's , haven't a clue .

My Aunt Janet developed polio working as hospital nurse in the 1950's; she gave birth to my healthy cousin in an "iron lung". Both survived, although she had right sided paralysis, she lived into the 1990's. My cousin is still living. It is a terrible disease.

The current Polio outbreaks are linked to the live virus vaccines still being deployed in developing countries. That is, a person that received the vaccine shed the virus and spread it to others. The vast minority of individuals that are infected with Polio, 90% or more, do not have any symptoms or a mild flu like illness. The unlucky one develop paralysis.

In 1969 when my father was 48 he had polio that went to his lungs. He was on a Sabbatical in Africa where he was gathering materials to begin an African Studies program at the college he taught at. He died in Ghana, though I suspect he had caught the polio in Burkina Faso (then called Upper Volta) from when he had gone for a swim while there. He wrote in a letter to a good friend that he felt ill and thought it was malaria. He took the plane back to Accra. He had gone to Upper Volta by a local bus. About one week later he died. My sisters and I were all vaccinated for polio in 1956. I remember my father telling about all the immunisations he had taken for his trip. I suspect that his doctor may have forgotten to give him the polio vaccination. Although many people in the 50’s thought of Polio as a childhood disease, my father knew that Franklin Roosevelt ,the US President in the 1930’s-40’s had polio as an adult so I can’t imagine he would have chosen not to be vaccinated against Polio while taking all the other vaccinations.

OPV derived polivirus spreads in those unvaccinated from Polio. What they are not saying is those who received the OPV vax are shedding it to unvacced communities. The community in NY spreading it is Orthodox Jewish, the Hasid community. The Hasids do not vaccinate for ANYTHING. I do not mean this to slam the OJ community I am just stating a fact. Their religion requires abstinence from vaccines.

  • @jbhk7977

@@52marli A doctor once told me that viruses don't exist. He said that there is no such thing as viruses. When you feel "sick", it's nothing more then the cleaning proces of the body itself via exosomes. Feeling sick every now and then shows you that your immune system works. So how can we get "infected" by other people? Well . . . you cannot. According to this doctor it's just an innate body response between different bodies. The same happens to women living together in a student house (hope my English is sufficient here) It often happens that they synchronize their periods. This is not because they infect each other, but because their bodies react to each other and synchronize their cycle. The same goes for someone who comes into contact with a person who feels sick. It is then said that one is infected with another person's virus. This is not true. One person's body reacts to the other person's body the same way as mentioned above. What the body does is determine if it needs a cleaning as well. If not, you won't get sick and if you do, well then you know your body works like it should. The word virus and the "idea you can catch it from someone else" is pure "sales propaganda". The word virus can get you in a state of anxiety and maybe even fear while the words "innate body cleaning" will NOT. It's all about making money and profits. Never forget that "fear sells" and fear makes people do stupid things. (look around you, the prove never was that clear the pas 2.5 years) Long story short, The word virus sounds more threatening thus more profitable than saying that the body is in the proces of cleaning itself and is getting rid of toxines. By the way, I think a doctor should not be payed by the number of patients in his practice, but by the number of patients that he actually cures.
