See how to replace the front and rear prop shafts in a Polaris RZR 900S in this video from Partzilla.com.
We were getting a lot of vibration and noise coming up through the bottom of this unit, and pretty quickly we zeroed in on the drive line as the culprit.
To access the prop shafts, John will take off the wheel just to get a better look at everything, and then he’ll remove one of the seats and the center console. This will give us some area to work. Then we’ll drop the skid plates to get to the underside of the prop shafts. A note here: you'll want to have the machine on jacks so you can turn the prop shafts if necessary.
Prop shaft removal on the Polaris RZR is pretty straightforward. We’ll need to remove a pin up front and then two 15mm bolts holding the center support on the unit. Once that’s done, it’s just a matter of using a prybar to push each of the prop shafts off of the splines to get them loose.
Once the prop shafts are removed, John will show you how they’re marked to get the balance right on them when you install new prop shafts on your RZR. The good news is even if you don’t see the marks, the shafts are splined in a way that will only allow you to put them together correctly. We’ll finish this job by adding some grease to our splines and get everything reinstalled.

Nice always enjoying watching your enthusiasm about working on them machines, especially when you're eating dirt. Thank you, John and PZ team, for another great tutorial helping us fix our machines ourselves.

I believe it is a good idea to replace in pairs. Preventive maintenance and thorough cleaning (most often neglected by owners) should be done frequently. These machines including 4Wheelers and Motorcycles are in my opinion the most neglected transportation. They are often ridden hard in rough, wet, muddy terrain, left outside and not cleaned. NOT GOOD!
