I was one of the guys inside actually! It's pretty hot and crampt in there so you have to like the person you're working with! Fortunately I had my buddy Derek in there who is a really experienced creature puppeteer and we work together a lot. We just took the bear to Cannes in France. You can see the video on my you tube channel. Fun times!

@Rudraksh Tiwari hahaha, watch a polar bear attack a walrus in a crowd of fifty giant walruses, each one three times it’s size, then do as you advise. It might work because it might be full. It won’t tear humans up it literally tears them down. They sometimes have a friendly play visit with a sled dog but that is extremely rare. But if it works with other animals that’s great.

Hamdan Hamidi actually even how real it looks, you can tell it's fake the way it moves. It does come far than what us Americans have, but the bone structure of a real polar bear moves totally different

Only problem: it steps with both right feet or both left, not staggered. That's like walking with your right arms swinging forward when you step with your right foot. Kinda awkward, but the overall puppet is insanely realistic!

Watching this made me remember how I near single-handedly designed and built a to-scale shark with a moving mouth, moving fins, and moving tail only out of cardboard, tape, and some tacks to be puppeted by 3 classmates in sixth grade in a week. This doesn't really have anything to do with the video, I just wanted to share that 'cause I thought it was cool.

Suits have more flowing movement. Even when they make the robots move smooth, something's never quite right. I don't know why. I've seen some good moving, flowing robots, and yet something never seems right somehow. There's a difference in how people in suits and robots move, no matter how much they rig those robots to move realistically.
