Falkner’s Pidgeot used to give me fits. Mudslap is just so OP in the stadium games. It’s so sinister to throw that on a flying type for electric coverage!

I love the different portraits they use depending on how the battle is going and how they'd trash talk you as well. It adds a lot of personality and detail

For a first Gym Leader battle, Falkner did better than expected. He strategically adapts to everything thrown at him, and even included a PRZCureBerry on his ace Pidgeot as if expecting someone would attempt to exploit it's weakness to Electric-type attacks.

This was probably a nod to the gen 1 games having a ghost Marowak in Lavender Tower.

Nothing like going through memory lane except I never got past Clair because I didn't know what dragon type was weak against

You got so lucky on Morty, Chuck, and Pryce

Pryce was wild 😂😂😂😂 Hitmonlee could have taken 2/3s of team after a meditate, but that Piloswine was going to have that quick claw it was holding activate no matter what happened, so it didnt matter. Then Crosschop just missing turn one lol. Misdreavous landing thunder on Cloyster, then Jynx staying alive with 14hp one crit away from winning. YOU WON BY 5 HP 😂😂😂😂😂

I love the difference in teams compared to the gym challenge is the first stadium. They actually use their types in 2.

I think they were using the Rentals. Because they usually have only mid-evolution Pokemon with relatively powerful moves. If they used a GBC or GBC-like thing, then they would be more powerful.
