A Pokemon I'd like to add, at least an honorary mention, would be Jumpluff. It is a troll with Stun Spore, Leech Seed, Headbutt, Mega Drain. It can put in major work and be the difference in a battle, especially against the AI, with its high speed and status effects. Not to mention para-flinch and health regen.

Shoutout to: Charizard- decent STAB moves, Blastoise- STAB Hydro Pump + Mud Slap, Arbok- Glare & Sludge Bomb, Magmar- Good Fire Punch + Confuse Ray & Smokescreen for stalling, Moltres- potentially devastating Fire Blast & Sky Attack, Quagsire - good typing and moves, Jumpluff- good utility moves in Stun Spore and Leech Seed and Skarmory- great typing and decent moves

If I remember correctly the final match in one of the cups was specifically designed to be impossible to beat using the available rental Pokémon barring RNG luck

After speedrouting this game with rentals, the only fights that I feel qualify as potentially impossible are Poke Cup Ultra Ball R2 Match 7 (Claude) and Little Cup R2 Match 2 (Rex). I can come up with strats to beat any other trainer in the entire game, but if Claude picks Zapdos, the match is pretty much unwinnable, and Ditto if Rex picks Scyther. That said, none of the trainers need RNG luck to win outside of team selection.

Good thing emulators have save states lol. Can't say I'd have ever cleared the elite4 or prime cup r-2 otherwise. Thankfully heracross one shots celebi even after tanking a psychic and wobbuffet cleans up.

Only unwinnable fights I've seen are the fisher in poke cup stadium 1 if he chooses Alakazam and little cup rex if he chooses Scyther both in round 2 of course.

@@TheR0b1991 Yeah, Fisher R2 Pika Cup is also unwinnable. Claude in Ultra Ball R2 actually probably is winnable even if he picks Zapdos, but I am sure that you need Wobbuffet to do it. It is not so much the fact that Zapdos is really strong, it is that you need something dedicated to kill it and still need to deal with his Articuno, Blissey, and Kanga, which also demand very specific answers.

The funniest moment I remember seeing while playing Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2 was having a Snorlax use Fly via Metronome.

I play stadium 1 and 2 with my kids. They love it 😂 im so glad they added these games to switch. Mystic. I highly recommend you try the whole nidorino line with horn drill. Speaking of OP. Props to my 6 YO daughter for finding that out.

Your kids would also have fun with Kingler, since it has Guillotine to potentially steal matches, and Seaking has Horn Drill, as well! I love the announcer's enthusiasm when those moves hit, too 🤣

In the series, you could talk about what are the best Pokémon to add to your team based on what eeveelution you picked. This would make for an awesome video series. Hope you like the idea.

My buddy and I played a few matches when stadium 2 dropped on nso, he brought out dewgong and totally wrecked about half my team. Gotta love it 😂😂

Interesting Ranking. I haven’t tried Pokemon Stadium but this ranking is making me think of looking into it. I find that it is very interesting seeing Pokemon Ranking on Pokemon spinoff games. How about trying to do a Pokemon Contest Ranking? Cool Beautiful Cute Clever Tough Highlight a side adventure that is in Ruby, Sapphire (Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire), Emerald, Diamond, Pearl (Super Contest in Brilliant Diamond and the Shining Pearl)

I was expecting Poliwhirl to be at least mentioned. It had the combo Rest, Belly Drum and snore.

They don’t make any stadium theme games anymore is because we have 3D core games I love it how stadium series have narrator voice over during the battle

What team would you recommend for Pokémon stadium 2 if you weren’t using rentals you were playing it on an N64 and you have a transfer pak and all the gen 1 and 2 games?

I feel you can put Ninetails and jinx with electabuzz for the same overall reason. One great stab move, with decent speed/spcl.Atk. Ninetails being a good choice for npc run due to the lack of good fire type. And Jink a decent finisher/sweeper with the ice typing.

I used to use Kingdra. Very few threats and a very decent stab move

I am surprised that you didn't have a top 10 worst planned for the stadium games

There are some other good Pokemon to try out. One said Jumpluff and I totally agree with that. Lech Seed is one heck of a move with Stun Spore in addition it is really strong. I'd also like to throw in some Baton Pass Users. One of the best is Mr Mime and Aipom. Aipom is more luck based and pretty frail with Douple Team and Agility. Mr Mime is really solid against physical attackers with Barrier and Substitute. I also like Quagsire, Aerodactyl and Kabutops, good stats, good STABs.

I know this is rental, like an idiot I sold my copy of Gold but I registered my level 50s to Stadium 2 before posting it and Shuckie is the man. It knows Sandstorm, rollout, wrap and withdraw. Wish I'd given him the leftovers item and swapped withdraw out for toxic or maybe recover or rest but for the most part the guy is a beast. Did the same thing with Blissey holding leftovers, knows softboil, toxic, minimize and unfortunately.. shadow ball. Not a terrible move but terrible for her, does like 20hp damage. Really neat games, just frustrating that the save batteries give out or else I'd never sell them. Anyways I forgot to register my Pokemon to the Pokemon league, only the pokecup stuff so here I am..

When I started using Farrow..I knew I was down bad 😂😂

Nidoking is a freaking monster as a rental in this game!

I'll say Pokémon Stadium and 2 are the best competition games ever for Pokémon battles because it nerfs strategies and forces people to adapt with moves that normally don't see the light of day

Magmar was also very broken. Toxic, Smog, Smoke Screen, and Fire Punch.

Jynx is high on my list.

Damn…..they did Houndoom so damn dirty with that pitiful moveset.

I think its worth to mention thst the reason why Wobbuffet gets perfect moveset is because... Well.. he can only learn those 4 in gen 2 lmao 😂

You are not wrong, Thunder off its insane Special Attack allows it to do lots of damage to pretty much everything, and it even has Thunder Wave for utility. Its defensive typing is great too, helps mitigate its terrible Special Defense.

My 6 year old daughter was destroying me with the nidorino line. Somehow, horn drill is far more accurate in these games than the regular games. And somehow she found that out 😂

Respecto a Alakazam y Riakou diria que si bien, sus movimientos no son los mas fuertes, tienen la ventaja de que Psicorrayo tiene una buena probabilidad para confundir y Chispa es mas consistente en paralizar, a estos los he llevado a Prime y Poke Cup y han dado buenos resultados Otro pokemon que dejaria en mencion honorifica es Kangaskhan, tiene un decente ataque que, junto con puño mareo con alta probabilidad de confundir es muy bueno, ademas de cubrir tipo fantasma con Mordisco y Roca/Tierra/Fuego con Surf
