Poitiers is a sleepy city in western France with a rich Merovingian heritage and a mesmerising tapestry of medieval churches scattered across its historic city centre. Indeed, Poitiers is home to so many church towers that it has been nicknamed “la ville aux cent clochers” (the town of a hundred steeples).

If I'm not mistaken, I used to run in escaliers du diable to see how strong I was. Memories
Not so sleepy, more than a 25% of the total population are students which makes it one of the youngest city in the country (awarded in 2022 to be the best student city of the country, and the second best city where to live in France in 2018... and always appears in the top ten since). It has one of the best university of the country and a solid community nework. Next to Poitiers, at 5 km you've got one of the best attraction park in the world (awarded a dozen of times), "Futuroscope", so... ;)
