The reappointment of Suella Braverman as home secretary dominated the exchange. Rishi Sunak defended his decision to include her in his cabinet, repeating that 'she made a mistake and apologised'. Braverman was forced to resign after breaking the ministerial code a week ago.

From an outsider’s perspective, these are all about who is wittiest or quickest in retort. Thid isnt a policy debate. Just an american perspective. Still amazing to see the leader and opposition leader go at it. We would never see a Biden vs. Mitch McConnell debate here

As an american watching this, it's so fascinating to see politicians not attack each other over things like abortion, race, vaccines, science, etc. (things that shouldn't be debated but just are), goes to show how far gone our government is compared to the rest of the world. This is how politics should be.

As a Canadian, we have a very similar system, it's difficult to make others understand why this battle of wit is so important. It's because those who are politically active can listen to both sides and pick whom they'd like to follow. What would others prefer? A unitary system with no debate?
