Super helpful video man! I live in Colorado and plan on getting an Elantra N after I graduate from College, but I’ve been worried about how it does in the snow. These roads look pretty similar to how it gets in Colorado, so this is a great comparison. Glad to see it seems like a good set of winter tires gets you pretty far.

Good to see the EN getting some solid winter driving in! We’re supposed to get a couple inches of snow next week so I’m excited to drive in it a little. The Continental DWS tires I have did great in light snow a couple winters ago. I don’t think they’d do as good in 6+ inches like you guys get. Those Nexans seem to do amazing in that much snow!

Oh yeah my baby will get all the snow it can take haha so far so good I like those Nexen tires and I like the price too 😉 DWS’s from what I heard I great all around tires but still be careful sometimes it not even your fault if you know what I mean 😉

@@PolishBullitt yeah they’re great all seasons but not made for deep snow. I’m sure you could use them for that, but a dedicated snow tire will always be better for anything over 3”.

My snow mode is N mode custom 1 w/ all settings turned down except for the E-diff and the one next to it, works great❗️

We finally got hit with some winter weather here in Alberta also Brother. Todays weather - 35Deg Celsius Daytime and -45deg Celsius Overnight 🥶🥶🥶

It’s fun to drive in but not work in haha

Braking priority disabled means you can push the brakes and the car won't cut throttle input. Otherwise if you push the brakes and throttle at the same time it will prioritize brakes and cut throttle.

Wassup buddy glad to see the tires are working good for you. I bought that same ones and had no issues so far with snow. I will say your a bit braver than me because u drive pretty fast in the snow. I wont go past 30😅 but hey i have a question. Are you driving from chicago to Miami with the N ? Any concerns with reliability for that long drive?

Hey my man tires working great 💪 I tend to drive little bit faster in the snow then most I don’t I guess I feel lucky haha no jk 😆 Im flying to Miami this time, I wish I had my N over there and connect with some FL boys, but I already did that trip with my wife, all the way from Chicago to Key West 3500 mile trip I even have some older videos on my channel, but car did great no issues at all and great gas mileage only thing is you still have to watch out for potholes and if you want to sleep in your N then I don’t recommend haha tested already 😆

@@PolishBullitt oh wow thats a pretty far trip. I want to plan a trip but my only worry is reliability on long drives like that. The furthest ive driven so far is about 6 hour round trip with no issues. Im glad to hear other N owners have no issues with long drives 🤟🏽

Don’t worry brother, just make sure your oil is good, coolant too then put some premium into it and touch ready to go haha easy peasy 😆 no but seriously you should worry about any trips unless your car gave you a reason not to trust it 😉

I mean obviously AWD will be the king in this scenario, but it all depends how much snow you get wherever you’re from, if it’s just a small amount in general and you considering EN I would go with EN over WRX. Elantra N with snow tires is a really good car in the winter, just a bit low to the ground 😉

39k miles and only thing I had an issue with is the horn but that’s like 75% of people haha

@PolishBullitt Seriously. I hear you on the headlight high beam thing. There's always at least 1 person behind me blinding me every morning driving to work. It's so annoying. I also hate the people that speed up... change into your lane... and then slow down or hit the brakes hard to make a turn... I mean come on bro!... you couldn't wait 2 more seconds behind me? Lol. Seems like no one stops at stop signs to. Good times 🤬

I have a mount that I install on my sunroof and it hangs down but I wish it was a bit lower so you don’t see my mirror haha

😆😆😆 Go figure. Don't really understand why people run lips on these cars when they already have a lip on them lol. And the factory one gets destroyed too in snow and ice. That is why I have the tank for this crap weather. TL Type S, 3600lbs 🦾 We got 9" of snow in KS on Monday night. Now it's -15 with wind-chill 🥶🥶🥶
