Very enjoyable. Love doing visible astronomy. No telescope, but I still own three sextants. I use a handheld 20x spotting scope to see "close up" of many very cool phenomena.

We used to have phenomenal viewing up north at the cabin, small towns about 20 miles north and west have since degraded our night sky. We still get to see the Aurora now and then but it was common in the olde days. A buddy of ours taught us about the Pleiades back in 86 or 87, and he passed away two years ago now, so that makes learning about the Hyades extra special for me today- it adds to the memory of good friends and old times, and a simpler life. I especially loved all the facts you included and I learned more about stars in this 7 minute video than I thought possible. I will look thru your vid history hoping to find some "Stars for Dummies" or other such beginner videos you might have produced. If you have not, maybe its an idea you would consider. Keep up the great work.

Such great video-making. The software or map she’s uses is phenomenal and how the clicker is a spotlight is helpful I use stellarium and it’s free so it’s good for me This has been the Singularly the best channel on KZread I’ve watched the past year. Learning the constellations one at a time had made a more experienced amateur astronomer Also at 1:39 I love how honest she is astronomy is a science and you learns science every day the opportunity of life is to learn something new every day and for her she’s not embarrassed to say that she learned it while being an experience astronomer herself Incredibly humble of her, props to her, and on many great videos I’ve enjoyed! 🌌

Both very bright but the Hyades is more spread out like the Coma Cluster. The Hyades must be at the limit of easily telling it is a cluster and anymore spread out you end up with something like the Ursa Major Moving Cluster that you can't tell is a cluster.
