Open Star Clusters versus Globular Star Clusters

Astronomers identify two different types of star clusters: Open star clusters and Globular star clusters. They are classified by their size, shape, age and number of stars, and location in the galaxy. Learn more about the similarities and differences between the two types of star clusters and classic examples of each that can be seen in the night sky.

I used to be able to count 7 stars plus when looking at Pleiades. Now I just see a cloud and find it hard to count more than three stars in it. It’s my eyes , my age that is failing and I might add there’s nothing wrong or changed with this cluster of stars. Thanks for this video. All your videos are spot on.

@@reedythe1st773 Maybe that’s it. I tend to underestimate the effect we are having on the atmosphere.

Wow the open clusters are 100 or more stars, but globulars are thousands of millions of stars much much further away and much bigger,😱 Open clusters looks like a family stars, But The globulars are the stars makes up togather a fusion of the globular sphere shape😂

you talk a lot about stars and constellations but why not about deep sky objects? when are you getting into nebulas, galaxies, you could make videos for each constellation showing what deep sky objects you can find and explore for each constellation and such
