Taking a Picture of PLEIADES From My Backyard...
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
On Friday night, I took a picture of the beautiful Pleiades star cluster in the constellation Taurus.
The final image includes 91 x 2-minute exposures, for a grand total of just over 3 hours.
Capturing broadband deep-sky objects from the city can be challenging. However, with careful processing, you can reveal the beautiful natural colors of your object buried beneath the bright sky.

@Had Tobe Flat water sure us level. But due to its large size and your size, you can't see the curvature with the bare eye. And water wouldn't spill off sure to gravity. Everything is getting pulled down to the core with gravity.

@@VibingBlueViperpretty sure that’s a myth because we can technically only see a certain distance in space due to the light not reaching us yet. The universe could theoretically be infinite
When I was younger I called the Pleiades the “tiny dipper,” since that’s what it looked like to me. It’s always been easy to pick out.

I never saw it without a telescope. I have only seen Orion nebula, some 25 or so stars, 4 objects from solar system........ Sad life.
Thanks Trevor for the pleasant educational video.
Beautiful!! One of your best shots yet. You process your images with a perfect balance of sharpness and softness!

How does this look through his telescope? Like the picture? Yes, i’m a noob.
@jujubean7664

@@loco3514 No. The Pleiades looks nice through a telescope, but it won't look nearly as good as the image. This is true will all astrophotography you see. This is because the camera is much more sensitive than our eyes, and it can do long exposures of multiple minutes. To get images like these you stack a few hours worth of individual images on top of each other. This allows the camera to see extremely faint things like the nebulosity in this image. Hope this helps!

I just got into astrophotography about a month ago so I'm pretty new to it, but your videos are amazing inspiration. I also shot the Pleiades Friday night through my skywatcher evostar 72 and it's so gratifying to get a good result after post processing! Keep up the good work!
Pimpin out the DSLR! It kinda sux how it's been warm, a few weeks ago it was cold and I loved how I didnt have no hot pixels, it really makes a HUGE difference when that sensor is nice and cool...u know I only live about 5hrs from where u live, we pretty much get the same weather as u do...and I have to tell u that my wife's name is Ashley too, I learn alot from your experience with astrophotography...Clear Skies!!!!!!!
Yay! Another video. I saw the M45 last night through my Orion Star blast at my home in California!
Hi Trevor - I'm usually not one to comment on your U-tubes because you do such a great job; you don't really need any constructive criticism... but this time I'm breaking with my usual silence... ...LOVED the quick shot of the Downy WP... 'Wish you would include just a few more of your birding shots in your U-tubes... It's all about the photography equipment, don't ya know!! Also, YES I remember the first time you brought out the gold accent WO132. This new version looks like a BEAST!! You've got to be approaching the weight limits of your EQ6 with 3 counter weights in place. You've taught me so much over the last several years. I finally broke-down and purchased a ES102 refractor; and, I got my first decent shot of Andromeda Galaxy a few nights ago. ...been working on it for 4 years, and finally understand the important role the equipment plays. Any way... Love your efforts and Love your U-tubes. Keep up the good work!
The TRUE definition of your channel is simply, PASSION. I don't care what it is you're doing in this crazy world. Have passion for something. Take notes from this guy if you need a reference.
Not gonna lie, you guys make this look like art that the world needs to see.
I still remember that day when you got the Gold version of the William optics Refractor Telescope. I am an old G subscriber
Inspirational video Trevor with a superb result on the Pleiades!!
Never seen the Pleiades with a purple glow before. It looks stunning!
Another amazing video Trevor, that last speech on the outro was very inspiring!
You enthusiasm is infectious! Love it, keep on going!
What I remember is the always overexcited Trevor unboxing videos at the old backyard in the garage, whenever anyone sent you anything to try out back then, as always a pleasure watching someone who enthuses our hobby, cheers Trev.
My wife and me got totally addicted of this hobby because of you guys. Thank you!
I saw the pleiades two days ago and I couldn't find what it was called and now I find this video, thank you!
I've been in love with the pleiades ever since I found it last year and I observe it all the time :)
Thanks for sharing. I'm pretty new to all this and decided to point my camera at Pleiades this past weekend. Very pleased with the results for not even knowing what is was prior.
Just... WOW... I am watching your videos when I want to calm myself.. It's so relaxing and your work is close to perfect
Your the best great job again. You are a story teller!
Awesome, very pleased that you get lots of clear skies. Greetings from cloudy Iceland.

Absolutely phenomenal work , no thank you for sharing
Trevor, why not build a small dome next summer? Power it with buried cable. It would be an interesting project.
I’m looking at it right now. Crazy to think that I can see it with the naked eye. So beautiful
I saw the Hyades and Pleiades for the first time through my 15x70 binoculars the day before and like you said, they blew my mind. Etched in my memory forever.
My favorite group is stars very beautiful along with the Orion nebula
it is unbelievable how beautiful is the night sky. these days I was looking to pleiades and took a picture with a dslr camera. doesn't matter the result. what is nice is when we know that there is more than what we can see. also it is very relaxing.
Beautiful. I love reflection nebulas and dusty pics.
Last night at 11:30 I went outside and saw the Orion constellation for the first time. I looked up higher and also saw Pleiades for the first time. I woke up and this vid was suggested. Just found that interesting
excellent excellent excellent job my friend......really appreciable. thank you for walking us through the ways in the sky....
Space is the only place where you can look and get lost. And getting lost watching the sky is one of the most beautiful feelings ever
I'm pretty new to this hobby but I stumbled across this cluster when I was surfing the starry sky with my telescope about a month ago. An absolutely incredible experience! Thanks for a very nice video! =)

Love that 132 Trevor... it's a beast, and looks MUCH better in its toned-down colour scheme. I had the 110 a few years back, and I hated that it could only be bought in that chintzy gold trim. Lovely scope, otherwise.
Thank you Trevor for a great presentation. It was great that you introduced your wife to the shoot and also your “best mate”! It just rounded the presentation so well. I really enjoy your passion!

I loved it! I always looked at the stars when I was a little girl! This may become my big passion! Thank you for sharing! Oh and I subscribed!👍
Crazy beautiful shot Trevor!
Thank you Trevor! What a gorgeous picture of the Pleiades star cluster.
I live vicariously through your gear. I’m new to this but you video about the apertura 8” dob convinced me to buy my first scope. When you got emotional talking about looking through it, I had that feeling when I looked at the moon through my 8” dob. I love this channel. I hope one day I can take produce some stuff half as good as these. Cheers.
Relaxing is how I would describe it. The silence of the night as you sit outside looking up at the stars in awe of the world out there.....and the atmosphere just perfect!
lovely final shot!
Never ceases to amaze, beautiful shot!
Beautiful picture.
Hey Trevor, joined the RASC Niagara thanks to you, they all speak so highly of you! Great job on this image
amazing work
I shot Pleiades with the redcat on Saturday but haven't had a chance to look at the data yet. If it's 1/100th as good as yours, I will be a happy girl. Figure I'll be spending the winter months learning how to process.
Oh wow. I’ve got to get out there tomorrow night. Only clear night of the week!!!! Fantastic Image. Thanks Trevor, now go play some Trivial Pursuit.
Thank you for inspiring me to start this incredible hobby.

Hey Travor, I remember when get the gold WO Telescope, yes it was a OMG moment for sure, If i remembered you gor married to Ashley that year. I hope the weather is better in Canada, clear skies 🙂🌠
WOW! What an amazing coincidence. I was just out looking at the Pleiades last night and thinking about how I want to get a picture of them myself. How cool!
No wonder you have a big smile on your face during most of the video Trevor! I would too 😊
Wow just awesome Trevor looks breathtaking on my 55 inch TCL Roku 4 k 📺 tv! 💘 love all your videos subscribed when I saw your unforgettable shot of M31 and M32.

Great and awesome work, thanks for all :)
Nice work Trevor, good to see the whole process keep making these inspiring videos for us all.
Beautiful capture and beautiful video Trevor!
Very awesome shot! Here recently, this has been my next target I've been eyeing to capture. Last night I looked up at it a few times, through a partly cloudy sky...so I didn't end up doing any imaging, but I did manage to see a Taurids meteor!
Great video Trevor! I Learn something in almost every video I watch!
WOW!!!!!!! Youre one of the few that make me want to get into astrophotography! Thank u!!!!!
