I’m concerned for that the most honestly. If you’re so stupid you take de-wormer for a virus with an easy alternative, I honestly don’t have the capacity for empathy for those people. But me being a veterinarian? Or even if you have some empathy for animals? It’s so frustrating. Worms can easily kill an animal if left untreated for long enough, it’s even worse knowing there’s an effective solution but you can’t access it because of idiots.

There are DOZENS of references and allegories in the bible that depict Christ as the shepherd and christians as his flock / sheep. Example: John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep." The bible also refers to Jesus Christ, their lord and savior, by the title "lamb of god". I like to call people like that parrots, all they know how to do is repeat what other Facebook doctors say.

Grandparents WERE doctors/nurses I work in vet med and I wouldn't take advice from a vet that was even 5 years out of practice. Medical science is constantly changing and updating information. Granny and gramps might be a bit behind.

Vets are the worst at keeping up with new research it sucks when I've had to literally recommend treatments to my vet that had been used widely for a decade. I found a new vet after that obviously I'm also in a southern red state so things take about a decade to catch on here while the rest of the nation is already on something new

i live in TN and own a horse and needed ivermectian dewormer during that whole problem and struggled to find it 💀

There's literally lines of people lined up at feed supply stores when they open where I'm from just to get this stuff.

I really don't want people to die because of misinformation. But god damn my empathy well is getting dry after all this shit.

Sympathy is limited to zero because people have tried so many times to correct their wrong ideas but they refuse to listen. Not only that but they are frankly proud of their ignorance and criticise the actual experts whilst having an arrogant attitude.

Even the company that makes Ivermectin is saying don't take it. Imagine that; a greedy for-profit corporation saying don't take our drug for this.

Horses are expensive n require so much care and attention. Makes it even sadder and maddening

I work in a very large hospital as a clinical researcher. We currently have a 93% vaccination rate, not a single death.

It's ridiculous people are going into Organ Failure because of this.

I’ve taught microbiology to a class of nursing students before. Let me tell you, plenty of them are bright, but they are across the board lacking in general scientific knowledge. Some are outright dummies.

If we are using horse drugs to treat Covid why not try ketamine, I'll volunteer for human trials.

It’s an insecticide. So it’s specifically made to target parasites/worms. Using it to kill a virus, which is not a parasite, is like trying to fix your drywall by vacuuming the carpet.

I have a coworker who was one of the biggest antivaxers I know, caught covid, got really sick for a month, and now is pushing people to get vaccinated, recently asking me if I was gonna get the booster in a few months

I can't go into a crowded theater and yell "FIRE!" I would be breaking the law, and I would (and should) be arrested. Why are these quacks and con artists allowed to go on TV and online and yell "FIRE" without consequences?

with every day that passes i’m reminded that conservatives are their own worst enemies
