Bro. My ps4 disconnects from the wifi for no reason at all. It does it on all my games . I’m not lagging i’m just disconnected. I’ve tried everything. I don’t know why it does this . But it gets extremely frustrating.

Aight so i found a solution, so like i connected my ps4 to my -5G Wi-Fi, and it kept desconnecting, so i tried connecting to another one and what i found at the bottom was the "safe wifi WPS" thing, and all i did was click it told to go and hold the "WPS" button on my wifi router, and boom, my ps4 automatically connected, and since then i havent disconnected once, hopefully this helps:)

Makes sure your game isn't on a cool down by your wifi network. Mine was on one I didn't know about and I just turned it off and had no more problems

I think that's the case, just like iphone does with they phone, they make it mess up like the old updates won't be supposed and they can't update to the new one being that it's so old or something like that.

I get no lag, perfect gameplay. I just get disconnected out of nowhere amd then It puts me right back on It.

My sister has a PS4 slim as well and hers disconnects at the same time but the wifi on my phone works just fine. And I even got my router replaced so idk if it’s the wifi ): idk what to do

Try doing a Custom network connection setting to your router instead of the Easy option. Sometimes this locks the PlayStation onto the internet better so that you don't have to keep connecting to it.

Judging by the amount of comments recently, I think the latest system software has broken something. I've been playing Cold War zombies lately, and every so often I'll get huge ping spikes and 100% packet loss followed by a blue screen error and complete console crash. Something's really busted here, my PS4 was perfectly fine 3/4 months ago!

This happens with me in Genshin Impact. Whenever i start the game, my internet is at 120~145 normally, but if i engage an enemy in battle or i use an elemental skill, it just reaches immediatly to 999 ping. This only happens with this game in specific. Other games i play, like Monster Hunter or Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel don't show that problem. I did the method of closing and opening the game, and it worked. Thank you, sir!

@Owen Levis When I do a network test from PS4 it says all services up and running but there is a problem with my ISP to call them. Funny thing, I did call them. Nothing is wrong with my internet....it's playstation! Phones, tablets, roku, roommates PC & Nintendo Switch all connected & working just fine. Video & music services all fine. All except the PS4.

@@kevinm1588 Unfortunately no, I was trying to play ESO during the free trial to see if I'd like it, was given a code for a few months of PS+ as well, but...things aren't working right... especially the PS store. Seems like I have to rebuild my database anytime I download a game, full or demo...or just browse for any extended period of time. Search for games, watch trailers, look at the sales of the week, etc. Also..my PS4 seems to be running really hot, working allot harder than it should for just browsing the store/ watching trailers. Like.. why would browsing the PS store, not downloading anything,just browsing or watching a trailer, make the PS4 sound like a jet engine? That's usually when playing graphically intensive games like RDR2. Atleast it used to be.

Dude when i ever go on my ps4 im never connected and i have to connect again

This has been happening to me lately, at first it was only once im awhile but now it's literally every match in every game. From Ghost of Tsushima to GTAV, every time i boot up the ps4 disconnects from the server. Not the wifi or the network, specifically the server/host.

I got an Ethernet cable and believe it or not but it fixed my issue guys! (Hopefully I didn’t curse myself lol) but yeah a cable did the trick. So that tells me it’s a software issue from Sony. Not a hardware issue.

This happened to me for about a week, tried every solution and still didn’t work. So What worked for me was going to settings to setup the my wifi connection but before hover over your wifi tap “options” and change the Ghz to the opposite one that you have on. For Ex: I had it on 2.4 Ghz and changed it to 5 Ghz. Hopefully that will help a-lot of you.

This would make a great video topic but it already appears that PC is going to continue to stay ahead in terms of raw computing and graphics power compared to next gen consoles. This, especially after Nvidia's most recent announcement of their newest RTX unit. I could talk about the pros and cons of each for hours, but in the end it really comes down to platform and preference. For me, I have so many friends in my PSN online community that it's a no brainer for me to get the PS5 so that I can continue to game with them using that platform

It worked at first but then my upload whent up to 3 but then it whent down to 540kps

Question. I doubt you see this but I really hope you do and are able to help! So, I just got a jetpack internet thing today. I had been running my internet off the hot spot on my office iphone and with the phone, I would always get a solid connection on everything albeit very slow download speeds but it was still decent enough to stream things like Netflix and KZread, just not fast enough for gaming (multiplayer.. I am not about to subject others to my lag). I was getting around 500-700 kbps download and 2 mbps upload on the phone and the jetpack is supposed to be giving me 25 mbps (it is) download and 1-2 mbps upload (it’s not.. it’s routinely giving me 17.5 kbps). However, that’s not even my biggest concern. With the jetpack, doesn’t matter if I am connected via wifi or hardwired, I get a successful connection on everything EXCEPT playstation network. I switch back to the office phone hot spot or even another different jetpack and they still connect fine with everything, they’re just super slow. I am definitely not a technical or computer/internet nerd but I have tried about a dozen different videos for restoring the PSN connection and I can’t get it to connect with the new jetpack no matter what I try. If you can offer any advice, I would be eternally grateful.. it would just be nice to finally be able to game with my friends again after not being able to the last 18 months. Thank you in advance.

It won’t me sign into my 5g WiFi it says network error signal too week

this started happening as soon as the ps5 came out and it gets on my nerves bcs i can’t even have fun and play my games anymore

Hey man on 2k21 on my ps4 ive been getting an attemting to restore your connection. It has a 15 second countdown and I just lag out. In order for me not to lag out i have to use a hotspot on my phone. Is there anyway I can fix this?

For people who have still not found a way to fix there problem try completely powering off your system and let it sit for a day or two. (No playing it or turning it on at all) after that connect it to your wifi again. After it should work. To keep it that way everytime your wifi is going to be unplugged/reset/disconnected power your system off before and when the internet is stable again you can power it back on.

My ps4’s internet turns off when I’m playing a certain game and any other game it doesn’t. Help.

I keep getting disconnected from PSN servers for no reason. My connection in game is fine (no lag) but in Fifa for example when playing online I'd have an endless post match loading screen which leads to me not redeeming my coins, points and losing skill rating even if I win the game. My solution is "test Internet connection" but this means disconnecting from EA servers and having my game registering as a disconnect eventhough the game finished. Does anyone have any suggestions? What's also weird is that when I'm in party with my friends and this happens I don't get kicked out.

Same here brand new death stranding ps4 pro after the update I cant get a stable connection to the network but internet works fine

a couple months back there was an update and I updated my ps4 and after that it completely stopped working it would shut off right away and I couldn't do anything so luckily I was able to return it, but now I have a completely different ps4 and after this new update my ps4 disconnects from the internet smh

Alex I'm hearing this same issue with a lot of people with regards to the internet disconnecting intermittently. I know Sony is investigating these issues and a fix should be released soon

Try adjusting to lock the connection on to one radio band or the other, as that significantly helped my disconnection issues. I published another YT video walking through how to do that here kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoChsryNo8qvqM4.html
