It's definitely a PS4/PSN wifi internal hardware/software issue and not anyone's shitty connection. We need a hacker to circumvent the wifi software to better grasp a router's signal.

Still happening in 2021. I have a solid 3 bar consistent WiFi router next to my console and it stilll loses wifi every 10 or so minutes. Never happens on my Xbox or any of my other devices. Shit is ridiculous 🤦🏽‍♂️

started last week for me. was playing for honor, would land like three hits on someone, game would freeze, and i'd rubber band back to the other side of the point with crit health and the enemy is full. thought it was just a ubi thing so i tried apex and the same thing would happen, climb over a wall, shoot someone, bam, game teleports me back behind the wall and shows me that i just mag dumped the side of a building. literally impossible to play anything, every three or four minutes it just quits for a second, even in the main menu

I’m always playing fortnite and it always disconnects. Whether it’s in a tournament or just creative, it’s so annoying. This is something PlayStation has to stop doing and we have to spread awareness about this so PlayStation can stop doing it to people because I know it’s not just their servers or the console getting old, I know it’s PlayStation doing it themselves so people buy the PS5 and they make money. It just shows how money hungry some people are and it’s sad because money is not key thing in business. It’s also about how happy your customers are about your products. EDIT: I tried using a Ethernet cable like said in the video and it works. So I highly suggest using it. And sorry to PlayStation for saying their disconnecting the ps4s from WiFi themselves because they aren’t

I’ve had this problem from months now but since I just recently moved a long distance it seems to be doing it farrrr more. It used to do it every hour or 30 mins but now it will literally turn on and off as if someone was sitting there flipping the wifi switch on and off. It’s really getting on my nerves considering the fact that I can’t actually play any online games anymore because of it.

My ps4 literally sits and waits for me to get on a game so it can just kick me off and it feels like it’s intentionally trying to annoy tf out of me, sometimes id get on my ps4 and it will tell me to “connect to the internet” before I’ve even moved my joystick

I've deleted then downloaded back the game , also I found about another Internet socket in my house was interrupting the connection and is been deactivated. I'm playing without any problem now thanks god. Just 1 packet loss once a day but I think is the game also a bit strange ( fortnite ) also now my ping stays between 10 to 30 now

Been having this issue myself with a 3 year old machine that started doing this about five months ago. It is not a frequent as you're describing, there are "bad days" when it won't hold a connection for longer than 30 minutes and then good days when it'll stay online all day long with no issues. I don't think it is my WiFi signal because my other devices don't drop connection and I have very good WiFi now. I know people say to just plug it into a wall connection, but I live in an apartment where the ethernet ports aren't always reliable or in an accessible location. Very frustrating. I guess I'll have to get a PS5 at some point, but sadly won't be for a while!

I found this vid through a google search My console has been acting up like this for about the past two weeks, and its beginning to REALLY getting on my nerves. I cant even complete a Nightfall in Destiny 2, which takes around 10 minutes on Adept Difficulty . Has anyone had any suggestions, or feedback? It just recently happened to me, and I was told to delete saved gaming files and Uninstall games. My ps4 is pretty much wiped clean with the wifi being strong and still can't connect for longer than 5 minutes

I have a wired in connection and it is still happening to me.... I have an xbox that I play as well and switch the ethernet cable between them The xbox NEVER disconnects when plugged in. The PS4 disconnects every 10 minutes while plugged in... I dont get it...

Saturday June 25 2022 just happened like three times in an a hour has been happening for about four month just randomly I just restart and comeback but it just keeps happening consistently making me lose A lot of progress in multiple games

Funny thing is, update 9 came out after the ps5 did right? After update 9 this started. Before update 9 the only disconnecting was from my router. Now it's only my ps4 disconnecting.

I’m having problem fifa22 I keep getting disconnected, today is the technician coming to see if is the Internet the problem.

The same thing is happening to me and I don't know what to do

I have 200mbps internet speed and...... My ps4 always lose internet connection, i thought there's a problem with the hardware. Exactly at 1:20 am, the internet connection disconnected, after 10 minutes, it will reconnected, after that it will disconnected again. Wtf???

The thing is, is that if they make your ps4 internet purposely cut out why would you buy the ps5 instead of Xbox

This doesn't happen on my Xbox one, only my ps4. Can't even play warzone

I got my PS4 slim last year for Black Friday and it’s hard to get it to stay connected every time I join a match in a game I get disconnected to the internet, then If not that, I get game errors and stuff. It’s ridiculous

every time I turn on my ps4 I have to reconnect to my PlayStation, I keep on having my games crash

One thing I've learned is this.. if you or someone in your household has an iPhone that is connected to wifi you will be booted off of the wifi until there phone goes into rest mode or the wifi is turned off. I legitimately know exactly when my roommate comes home from work just by when I am kicked off of warzone and can't connect.

I'm currently having this issue and this is the second time it has happened and only on this Samsung smart TV never had this issue on any other tv before. As soon as i turn my ps4 off and then try to go back and watch tv it's having these issues 😡

They removed the options menu on the set up internet connection smh

Been having this issue for the last 6months or so done everything besides factory reset it very rarely but sometimes I can go all day without it happening but most of the time I can't get thru 1 or 2 cod matches before being disconnected or watch an episode of anime without having to constantly test the internet connection to regain connection.

I gotten a new Wi-Fi router recently and yet my PlayStation 4 keeps on disconnecting me from the Wi-Fi

I had this problem for years now. 😭😭

I am going through this after the ps4 update, my ps4 keep disconnecting every 3-5 minutes and it is very irritating. My internet connecting is perfectly running yet my ps4 started doing this after the update.

I think the best thing to do is to connect the PS4 directly to the wifi box 🤷

Every time I spawn in I last 10 seconds before its disconnects

bro every time im in a fortnite match it kicks me out randomly in the match than it says there was a problem when i get sent to lobby??

i got unbanned n i be lagging out everytime

literally me it keeps disconnecting in any game. especially in modern ware fare the second i enter a game or play a couple rounds it kicks me out and say the internet disconnected

Mine started yesterday and everytime i try to open a game it lets me play for like 3-5 mins and then i start lagging making me have to reset the game and now i dont what to do at this point

same as soon as the update dropped I always keep getting disconnecting for some reason

Same bro if you go to view PlayStation network status it says that Sony has been trying to fix network trafficking

This is the second time this year it has happened

It keeps disconnecting me everytime i try downloading games in rest mode and it keeps saying my connection is weak when its at a max connection

So my ps4 keeps doing the same thing ur doing every 3-5 minutes tho. I can't even play anything because of this.

The same thing is happening i lag out every hour but when i get on my phone it works fine someone help!

FACTS , i’ll be in a 2k in a park game and it does this for literally 3 seconds. kick me out the game and than it’ll reconnect, it’s mad weird. it does this for like a week every month.

I never had this problem with my PS4 pro until about a month ago.. Ive tried everything, even hardwired it and it will still cut out saying my LAN cable isnt connected. This is really becoming annoying.

I'm having exact same issue playing nhl 22. It now says lan cable disconnected after about 30 min

It doesnt give you an option to switch which wifi youre using if youre already connected. Cant change frequency
